Welcome to Arcady. 3 bedrooms - Sleeps 6 + cot. This former croft house is located in the village of Fearnan which nestles in the mountains and forests of the Perthshire Highlands on the north shore of Loch Tay.
1.5 hours from both Glasgow and Edinburgh, the area is not only blessed with breathtaking scenery but also with a rich diversity of outdoor activities including fishing, walking & golf.
The cottage is 3 miles west of the picturesque conservation village of Kenmore & 10 miles down the road is the bustling town of Aberfeldy with shops, cafes, restaurants, galleries, a whisky distillery and a swimming pool.

Arcady is a charming tradional stone croft house built around 1850 which has been tastefully extended for modern living. It has beautiful enclosed garden with mature trees, BBQ area, picnic table and huge sandpit. The front door opens into the cosy sitting room with ingle neuk fireplace, wood burning stove, TV and DVD. The kitchen is fully fitted with cooker, washing machine, microwave and fridge freezer. The spacious dining room leads to the conservatory with beautiful views of the garden, fields and forested hills beyond.
There is one king bedroom, one twin bedroom and one bedroom with a zip and link bed which can be either a super king bed or two twins. The bathroom has a bath, over bath shower, wash hand basin and WC.

Pets are welcome but owners must be aware that the fields beyond the garden are grazed by cattle and sheep with lambs. No pet poo in the garden please.
Local activities in and around Kenmore, Central Scotland
There are countless activities within the immediate vicinity of Fearnan and there is an information pack with contact numbers in the cottage but to name a few:
Water sports- Loch Tay, the largest loch in Perthshire at 14 miles long offers water sports of all kinds from canoeing to day boat trips while the River has white water rafting and canyoning amongst its long list of activities.
Angling- The Loch and River are well known by anglers for brown trout and salmon fishing. It is possible to hire a boat and fly fishing tuition is available.
Golf- Kenmore has a superb 9 hole course and Taymouth Castle is the local 18 hole course set in beautiful parkland.
Walks and Mountain Biking- Tay Forest Park is on the door step with well marked walks and mountain bike trails. There are gorge walks and riverbed trails. With Ben Lawers, Schiehallion and Ben More there is plenty of choice for the munroe bagger.
Other Activities- Highland safaris, abseiling, paintballing and quad biking to name a few. Places to Visit Fearnan has the Loch Tay Pottery for a browse. The Scottish Crannog Centre has a reconstruction of an Iron Age dwelling on the Loch and is a real hit with our children. There are gardens to visit and on a wet day castles and distilleries.
Places to Eat- Kenmore boasts Scotland’s oldest inn the Kenmore Hotel which has two restaurants. There is a choice of fine dining, a la carte or bar food at the Courtyard Restaurant and dining on the loch side at the Waterfront, both in Kenmore and more choice still in Aberfeldy.
Travel on A9. Take A827 at Ballinluig. Follow road through Aberfeldy, Kenmore and along the north shore of Loch Tay. At Fearnan turn right to Fortingall. Arcady is the last house on right.

Guests will be liable for any damage to the cottage or is contents during their stay. Guests must notify us of any breakages or damage to the cottage and reimburse us for replacement, repair or extra cleaning costs. 5. Guests must take all reasonable and proper care of the cottage and its contents during their stay and leave them in the same state of repair and in the same clean and tidy condition at the end of their stay as they find at the beginning.
