Local activities in and around Stonehaven, Highlands & Islands
The town of Stonehaven has a superb clifftop golf course, tennis courts, leisure centre with indoor pool etc.The town also boasts it`s very own heated, open air, salt water, olympic sized, Art Deco swimming pool (the only one in the UK).
There are many forest walks. There is a folk festival held in the town every July(usually within the first two weeks). Eating out- we have many eateries, but we highly recommend The Carron restaurant & The Marine hotel (pub). There is also the world famous Hogmanay fireball festival that is celebrated on the 31st December every year.
