The village is in the centre of the world famous 7STANES development of mountain bike trails. Fishing and watersports are available at nearby Loch Ken. The nearest golf course is 3 miles away in New Galloway(9 holes), there is a 18 hole course at Castle Douglas. There are beautiful beaches around the Colvend coast, Kirkcudbright and Ayr - all about 45 minutes away.
