Nestling by the River Wye, in the stunning valley of Millers Dale lies The Barn. This delectable section of Derbyshire has few rivals and is exceptionally beautiful. This 18th century barn has been lovingly converted into a beautiful self catering holiday cottage for your pleasure. Old-world charm does not mean old world facilities. Provided for your enjoyment are FREE Wi-Fi access, a 32" LCD TV/DVD, Playstation2, reading material and traditional games.
Comfortably sleeping 8, with all bedrooms enjoying en-suite facilites and colour televisions. Equipped to a high standard you will find The Barn homely and welcoming. Upon arrival you will receive a warm welcome, complimetary wine, homemade bread and breakfasts foods. Our prices are based on 8 sharing- we offer discounts for 4 and 6 people.

The Barn has all the benefits of modern living with the charm and character of a traditional limestone property. All of the three bedrooms are en-suite with colour televisions. Spacious accommodation is provided over two floors.
Stoneflagged entrance and stairs. Galleried lounge with exposed beams and chandeliers, silk sofa and chairs. The kitchen floor is laid in a French country style using Spanish hand made terracotta tiles. Your beds will be made up before your arrival with freshly laundered white cotton linen, duvets and patchwork quilts.
All of the bedrooms within The Barn are en-suite. All bathrooms are fitted to the highest standards with white suites and solid wood floors. We will supply for the duration of your stay freshly laundered towels and bath mats. You will also find one toilet roll has been supplied for your intial use.

2 Bathrooms, 1 Shower. All bedrooms are en-suite. We will supply for the duration of your stay freshly laundered towels and bath mats. You will also find one toilet roll has been supplied for your intial use.

Cooker, Hob, Microwave, Fridge, Freezer, Dishwasher, Washing Machine, Iron. Full size range stove, excellently equipped, selection of tea, coffee, sugar, salt, herbs, homemade bread, farm milk/eggs, wine and breakfast foods on arrival.
General:
Central Heating, Maid Service, Telephone, House Linen, Towels Provided, Internet Access. On arrival wine, homemade bread and biscuits. Maid service is avaliable by prior arrangement, please enquire. Babysitting is also avaliable for £5.00 per hour.
Dining:
Seating for 8. Antique pine table within the large kitchen.
Entertainment:
Terrestrial TV, DVD, Radio, CD System, Board Games. Free Wi-Fi access, 32" LCD TV and PS2 with a selection of over 150 film/music DVD's and PS2 games. Should guests wish to go to the local pub then a babysitting service is avaliable £5/ hour.
Outside:
Terrace, BBQ, Parking, Garden Furniture. The terrace has a breathtaking backdrop of the Monsal Trail.

The peak district is a walker’s paradise. We are extremely fortunate to live in one of the many beautiful parts with stunning walks by the river and through the dales.
Millers Dale benefits from being one of the least known about Dales and consequently is unspoilt in its beauty. We are on the Monsal Trail an amazing pathway to Buxton and Bakewell.
Chatsworth is one of England’s largest stately homes and is open to visitors nearly all year. The house and gardens are fabulous and only 20 minues from The Barn.
Matlock, Bakewell and Buxton are all within easy reach.
A specialist outdoor equipment and clothing shop based in Buxton in the heart of the Peak District. Jo Royles was established in 1972 and has built an excellent reputation for high quality service. Owned by Andrew and David Barnes - they have extensive experience and provide a personal service - running the shop themselves.
Highly recommended company specialising in professional guiding, coaching and instruction in the outdoors. Approachable, friendly people based within the Peak Park, worth looking at their site and booking a course.
First class site for all the information you will ever need to do with routes and locations. They also publish a wide variety of books connected with climbing. Well worth a look.
Owned and run by Pete Hawkins based just 3 miles up the road. Offering navigational courses including the Silva Map and Compass weekends which will teach you how to navigate effectively in a series of structured weekend courses set in the heart of the Peak National Park. Take a look…….

Rental Notes: These rates are for 4 people, please enquire for maximum occupancy.
Rental rates include all linen and towels and heating and electricity. A refundable "good housekeeping deposit" of £100.00 is payable upon arrival.
The Barn should be vacated by 10.00 a.m on the morning of departure and arrival check-in is from 15.00 hours.
There is a small premium for one well behaved dog, but they are not allowed in the bedrooms or on the furniture.
Baby sitting, maid service and shopping deliveries can be arranged- please enquire for rates.
