This atmospheric monumental accommodation is located in the centre of the picturesque and monumental village Aldeboarn. The former carpentry workshop has been fully transformed into a very comfortable holiday home.
Aldeboarn has a rich past as a trading village on the Turfroute and was selected as a protected village view. You will find old alleys and cosy houses on the water side here. The river Boarn meanders through the old village centre of Aldeboarn. In the centre you will find a great monumental church with unique painted ceilings.
The region is perfect for walking in the woods of Oranjewoud and Beetsterzwaag for example. Cyclists will find a perfect starting point in Aldeboarn. Water sports opportunities are ample too; the Pikmeer and the Sneekermeer are easily accessible, as are the many interesting surrounding villages. The old inner city of Leeuwarden, the cosy water sports city Sneek and the Chameleon village in Terherne are also worth a visit.
