Azalea House is strategically positioned for excursions in the mountains or you can walk along the lake. Trips to Lugano would take 1 hour by car. To Saint Moritz on the Swiss Alps 2 hours by car, and to Como (city of the silk) 40 minutes. “ Azalea “ is a good opportunity to unwind and relax during your holidays!!. It is 80 kms from the International Malpensa Airport.

The three bedroom apartment “Azalea” is situated in Griante-Cadenabbia. A little town founded by the Celts in the 500 B.C. The property is in a residential area in the city centre, and on the shores of Lake Como. It is an area that is frequented by stylists and famous American actors.
Recently renovated it provides 3/4 bed places(3 adults or 2 adults more 2 children) with a sofa bed; it has a spectacular lake view over Villa Melzi in Bellagio and of the Alps toward Varenna.
We have a flat screen TV with satellite channels (with SKY TV: all the games of football of Premiership, Spanish Liga, Bundesliga, French Legue 1, Scotland Premier League live every game live!), speed internet access , on demand ( there is wireless connectivity)and DVD.. A stereo player is provided with classical(included the complete works -100 CD - by Wolfang Amadeus Mozart) and jazz CD's. The bathroom has a playpen shower. There is a stove heated with “pellets” for winter stays and private parking very close to the apartment.
Elegant, comfortable for a relaxing stay, surrounded by beautiful flowers in the summer. Sports facilities nearby, such as tennis court, golfclubs or the possibility to do water-skiing or surfing.
Azalea in the centre of very beautiful Parks. Known as the 'Riviera of Azaleas', the gardens along this strech of the western bank explode into a riot of colour every spring. Its unique position means azaleas and flowers in general its pride and visiting card. Visitors come from all over the world to admire the blooms, to the nursery gardens in the area, but above all to the vast parks, ranging from the extremely famous Villa Carlotta to Villa Collina (used as a summer residence by Chancellor Adenauer), Villa Maria 'Parco dei Faggi', 'Parco delle Betulle'. The area of the town closest to the lake, best known as Cadenabbia, has a pleintful supply of hotels and tourist structures. From here, you can admire the whole of the central lake.

Golf Club at Menaggio Cadenabbia
In contrast to the relatively flat terrain of Le Robinie, this course lies in the rugged mountains, just west of the town of Menaggio, on Lake Como. It is the second oldest golf club in Italy, founded in 1903 by an Englishman, and in the English tradition, includes numerous and sometimes difficult hazards. Par is 70, and it plays 5455 meters (6,000 yards) from the back tees, and 4810 meters (5291 yards) from the front tees. The club house is also historic, containing a library with one of the most precious collections of golf publications in the world. It also has a first class restaurant for us to enjoy a leisurely lunch with magnificent views of the Alps, and of Lake Como below.

We (late middle-aged couple) stayed at Azalea House in June 2007. The property was as advertised; it was clean and had all the amenities needed for a restful holiday including 'welcome' wine and biscuits. The owner was extremely helpful and personally met us and took us to the flat. As we do not own a car the location was ideal as it can be reached fairly easily by public transport (train" - Jan and George.(United Kingdom)

Once we found Azelea House in pouring rain, we appreciated the wood-burning stove for drying the wet clothes - even in June! The accomodation was clean, comfortable, quiet, homely and convenient for the lake and its many ferries. The plentiful supply of classical music along with the CD player and the 'welcome pack' of local wines were all particularly welcome.

"Very romantic, and nice to walk.
This stay at Griante was very, very nice. Azalea house appartment is huge, comfortable and cosy. Fortunately we have had sunny autumn whether, and were walking around the amazing hills and the wonderful small villages a lot. Furthermore we very much enjoyed food of the region, either by cooking ourselfs at home (enough space in the well quiped kitchen), or in one of the numerous available restaurants around.

The property was clean and well maintained. The owner provided excellent customer service - himself and his on-site caretaker. The property is in one of the best locations on Lake Como with a view of beautiful Bellagio. It is easy to get around the lake and over to Switzerland. The ferry port is within walking distance too. There are good walks locally. We had quite a wet week a" - Kristiane - England.
