The Top Lodge holiday apartment complex is situated in Bansko, 10 minutes walk from the ski gondola station which takes you up the slopes of this well known resort. A shuttle minibus will drive skiers to and from the main gondola station in just 2 minutes. Top Lodge is also within walking distance of downtown Bansko with all its facilities. Just cross the bridge of the river and you are there in 8-10 minutes or call the shuttle which can also bring you back home after an enjoyable dinner .
Bansko is an all year round destination famous for its food specialities, drinks and live music offered in over 300 pubs,taverns and restaurants. In summer, excursions are available nearby for Hiking, Biking, Off road safaris, Rafting, Rock climbing, Tennis, Horse riding and fishing. In the long ski season,you can enjoy the mountains which are perfectly shaped for snowsports. At present, Bansko has a vertical drop of 1,100 m or 1,600m if you include the gentle coast back to town which makes it comparable to Banff at in Canada. Places to visit while you are there could include the Rila and Rozhen monasteries. Amphitheatre at Plovdiv, Bear park, Medieval villages of Leshten, Kovatchevistsa and Ognianovo, Mineral hot springs, Yagodinska Cave, The Cathedral, museums and shops in Sofia. Swimming at the Alpha pool in Dodrinishte, The Aqua park (50Miles from Bansko) and even a trip down to Kavala in Greece for sightseeing and the beach.
The first floor apartment is accessible by elevator or stairs and has cooking facilities, , satellite TV,CD/DVD player and two balconies. Apartment cleaning/ linen changes are pre-arranged and there are laundry facilities in the complex. Guests are met on arrival, given keys and a welcome drink and shown the area if required.Welcome packs such as tea,coffee ,bread etc, can be supplied on request.Information/discounts on Transfers from Sofia, skis, lift and lessons can all be provided in advance of travel if required.

No disabled facilities in the apartment. Wheelchair access slope to reception and lifts in the accommodation blocks.Heavy construction work and some poorly laid public paving stones in the area.
Local activities in and around Bansko, West and Mountains
Bansko is situated at the foot of the Pirin mountains close to untouched forests and unspoiled medieval villages. Adjacent to the Pirin National Park,there are endless opportunities for activities. In summer, the annual jazz festival and the Bulgarian folk festival are ever popular events. The town is full of good bars & restaurants and prices are probably one third of what's found in western Europe.A beer is around 40p!Historic towns and museums are numerous and easily accessible.
World class skiing is available from December to May. The highlight is the 1600m ski run back to the village. There is a snow park and cross country skiing facilities. 65KM of piste, heli-skiing and night skiing. Kindergarten for children.
Cheap flights are available from UK airports to Sofia.2hours 50 minutes. Wizzair, Thomsonfly, Eastjet, etc. Approximately 2 and a half hours drive from Sofia or 3 hours by bus.
