Villa Aspro is a modern villa with the perfect hilltop location that affords both privacy, and spectacular views over olive and pines trees to Souda Bay on one side, and a dramatic mountainous backdrop on the other. The careful design of the villa ensures that all of the bedrooms, main living rooms, terraces, and the infinity pool benefit from the fantastic sea and mountain views.
“Aspro” means “white” in Greek, and this is very appropriate as the villa has a very light and airy feel due to the traditionally Greek, white and blue colour scheme that the English owners have thoughtfully chosen. The villa itself is painted white throughout and has blue shutters on all of the doors and windows. The pretty bathrooms all have white suites and are fully tiled with white tiles and blue mosaic details. The spacious interiors have light terracotta floor tiles and are comfortably furnished with wooden furniture that was hand crafted locally.

Villa Aspro has many useful accessories to make your stay more relaxing including: a variety of books, mosquito screens, satellite TV, DVD and CD players, a ceramic hob and built in oven, a large fridge/freezer, a microwave oven, a washing machine, a BBQ , and air conditioning units in the bedrooms. The a/c units also double up as heaters, and there is central heating and a fireplace for the cooler nights early and late season. There is solar powered hot water or a back-up immersion heater.
The property has a natural stone wall along one side to ensure privacy from the one neighbouring villa, and land that drops away below the villa and garden on the other three sides. The private gravelled driveway has colourful flower beds and rockeries on either side, as does the main terrace outside the kitchen area and next to the pool. The garden has a number of olive trees as well as many plants which include: hibiscus, mesembryanthemum flowering ground cover, bougainvillea, oleander, cacti, lavender, purple daisies and blue cupidone daisies. The piano shaped infinity pool has wonderful views and is set just below the lounge terrace. There is plenty of outdoor furniture including sun-beds, umbrellas, director chairs and a dining table.

The Apokoronas area is just east of the beautiful, historic Venetian city of Chania and includes the beach villages of Almerida and Kalives, the traditional villages of Plaka, Vamos, Gavalohori, Kokkino Horio, and country villages such as Kefalas and Litsarda. From the myriad blues of the clear, calm, ever changing Mediterranean seas, the clean white, sandy beaches, the white Lefka Ori mountains, with the longest gorge in Europe, lush silver-green olive and orange groves, the scent of wild thyme and majestic pine trees surrounding unspoilt villages, even the occasional donkey - Crete has it all.
The approximate drive time from Chania International Airport is 45 minutes. From Heraklion, where it is possible to get cheaper flights, the transfer time is approximately 100 - 110 minutes.
