Local activities in and around Mevagissey, South West
The South West Coastal Path passes through the village. An easy walk to the south leads to the inlet that shelters Portmellon Beach. About 2 miles to the north the golden sweep of popular Pentewan Beach is readily accessed. Also walkable from the apartment is Polsreath beach - a quiet haven. For garden lovers The Lost Gardens of Heligan are located just outside the village. The Eden Project is about 7 miles. There is a bicycle trail along the river to St Austell connecting with the Cornish Cycle Way network. Fishing trips can be arranged at the harbour. Fresh fish is landed daily and sold on the quayside and there are restaurants for all tastes within the locality.
From St Austell the road narrows on entering the village. Continue straight across and in 20 metres turn left under an arch. This will lead into the reserved courtyard carparking for Riverside.
