-Nieuwe Niedorp is a nice village, there are a few gardens open to the public
-Winkel has a perfumebottle-museum in the old townhall
-Barsingerhorn is a cultural monument and has a beautiful townhall
-Kolhorn is a beautiful old fishermensvillage and also a cultural monument
All these villages are ideal for a bicycle-trip.
Furthermore:
-Schagen, a nice small town with a cosy sqaire, small streets and restaurants, a nice place for shopping. On thursdays there?s a market with during summermonths shows with ancient clothes.
-Enkhuizen, Medemblik and Hoorn are old fishermenscommunities at the shores of the IJsselmeer, certainly worth a visit. We recommend a trip Twisk- Medemblik-Enkhuizen.
-For children the ôFairylandö in Enhuizen is a very nice and affordable daytrip. After visiting Fairyland you can picknick and swim in the IJsselmeer. Also in Enkhuizen is the Zuiderzeemuseum.
