Local activities in and around Polperro, South West
Cornwall was already one of the most interesting and varied counties in the country.
And Cornwall is now been reborn through the Eden Project. Everyone is talking about it, have you been?… what did you think?… did you see?… Cornwall can have rarely been so animated.
Yet you can still meander along deserted cliff paths and find your own cove. You will still visit the picturesque fishing villages, the Lost Gardens of Heligan, National Trust properties like Lanhydrock, the Minack Theatre, situated on the rocks overlooking the sea, lead, tin, slate, china clay mines steeped in hard history, Seal and Monkey Sanctuaries, St Michael's Mount, The Tate at St Ives…...
And for a bit of excitement, there’s Flambard’s mighty thunderbolt.
How about the Camel Trail for one of the best cycleways in the country?
Then you can combine a visit to Bodmin Jail, with an afternoon on the mainline steam railway from Bodmin Parkway to Wadebridge (subject to getting bail of course).
There is so much for all to do. One, two even three weeks will not be time enough. That is why so many lovers of Cornwall come back year after year. Cornwall may end at Land’s End but it starts hopefully with us if you would like to stay with us?
We send by post full directions and map or you can download off our website.
