The Lichtenberg estate is situated to the south of Maastricht on St Pieter?s mount. This superb farmhouse (dating from 1816) with a large courtyard and the St. Pieter museum (open on Sundays only) is owned by the protected site association. One wing has been developed into holiday accommodation. The interior has recently been renovated with particular attention being paid to the atmosphere and the preservation of authentic detail; a feast for the eyes!
From the viewpoint, several metres high, you can enjoy a magnificent view over the Meuse valley and the Burgundy town of Maastricht. Come and lounge on the many small terraces of the Vrijthof. Visit the museums or Snowworld Landgraaf. There?s something for everyone.
