This accommodation has a truly unique location on a small hill on the Geul, a fast-flowing river in the nice hamlet of Cottessen, just over the Dutch border. This hamlet is a quiet area in the Upper Geul Valley where, on one side, you can see the point where the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany meet, and on the other side you see the hills of Belgium. There is no traffic, as the house is at the end of a dead-end country road, so you?ll be able fully to enjoy the peace, getting away from your usual daily stresses.
The hikers below you imagine themselves to have landed in paradise, following a path which begins at your front door and goes along the Geul into the hills, where they will then be able to enjoy a strong abbey beer in a typical Limburg or Belgian café. Cyclists and mountain bikers will also be fully satisfiedùthey are surrounded by nothing but the green of nature and hills. Upon arrival golfers will immediately see the Sippenaeken golf course, where non-members are also allowed to golf. Information to help you get oriented: Vaals is 5 minutes, Maastricht is 25 minutes, Aken is 15 minutes and Liège is 35 minutes away by car. The barn next door (NL-6294-06) can also be rented for 8 people.
This accommodation is in a nature preserve protected by the Limburg Landscape Trust, and the hamlet is a delight to see!
