The Ommen Holiday Park is in the fine location of Vechtdal. The Vechtdal is a beautiful area of Overijssel, located between Zwolle and the German border. You?ll find water, forest, heath, sand drifts and typical farms in a varied landscape. This is a great home base for a very promising holiday, with something for everyone. Peace and space are a matter of course here, as are the fun times to be had at amusement parks such as the Hellendoorn Adventure Park (Avonturenpark Hellendoorn), Slagharen Pony Park and Speelstad Oranje. You can also enjoy great hikes and bicycle trips. There are many trails, all of which are clearly indicated. Of course there are many other options open to you, including swimming in the covered swimming pool of Ommen, miniature golf, tennis, horseback riding, golf and covered wagon trips. You can also visit the Tinnen Figure Museum, the Oudheidkamer, the De Lelie flourmill, the De Oldemeijer recreation area, beautiful nature areas such as the Sahara sand drift, the pools and the gorgeous heath fields and flocks of sheep on the Archemerberg and Lemelerberg, and much more.
In addition, there is an all-weather tennis court and a great 18-hole golf course in Ommen. For excursions in the area, we also recommend the North Emmen Zoo (Noorder Dierenpark Emmen), Zwolle, Beerze with its nice Old-Saxon farmsteads, the subtropical swimming paradise "De Marsch" in Hardenberg and Eerde Castle.
