In this spacious, elevated room (36 m2), the alcoves in the walls will trigger your imagination. The former bed has been replaced by a kitchen.The chimney has been decorated with typical Frisian tiles. The room is just above the cow-milking barn and you will enjoy a beautiful view on the fields orientated towards the small village of Easterlittens. The hamlet of Skrins consists of 4 farms, of which two are still in operation. It is situated at the heart of the Frisian plains, 'de Greidhoeke'. The village of Easterlittens is at the crossing of the Bolswardervaart and Franekervaart. You are about 15km from Bolsward, Leeuwarden and Sneek. In these cities, you will find a great variety of cultural sights and culinary specialities. Lovers of nature will be happy to hear that Skrins is also the name of a protected natural reservate. In spring and summer, the sky vibrates and buzzes from plovers, godwits, curlews, oystercatchers and bush robins. Sporadically, you will also be able to see spoonbills.
