Local activities in and around Balloch, Central Scotland
Everything you need from a holiday is on your doorstep. Golf, fishing,walking, sailing, canoeing, mountain bike hire and boat tours are all available locally.
For those looking for a slower pace of life we are a five minute stroll from Lomond Shores Shopping Complex which includes the world famous Jenners and the Loch Lomond aquarium. Alternatively take a leisurely stroll along to Balloch Park to feed the ducks and visit the castle. You can sit and watch the sun set on Loch Lomond with Ben Lomond as the backdrop at the Kilted Skirlie at Lomond Shores. This is one of a variety of restaurants to suit every occasion and budget and all within easy walking distance of the house.
Balloch is attracting many festivals including the Loch Lomond Folk festival, Live at Loch Lomond and the food festival, not to mention the Loch Lomond golf club hosting the Scottish open every year.
For those golf enthusiasts the recently opened championship standard Carrick Golf Course is only 10 minutes from the property and open to the public. (Electric golf trolley available for hire at an additional 10 GBP per day from us). Other golf courses all within 20 minutes include Vale of Leven with its fabulous views over Loch Lomond and the surrounding countryside, Cardross and Helensburgh.
For those staying that little bit longer you may want to explore further afield. Transport links either by bus/train or car will have you in Stirling in 30 minutes, Glasgow in 40 minutes and our capital city Edinburgh in 90minutes.

Rental Notes: We offer a minimum of 2 night stays from September through to May. The rates for a minimum of 2 nights stay start from £275 to £450 for a 4 night stay. (With exceptions at Christmas, Easter and New Year - Please phone for availability and costs due to peak times).
The property will be ready for occupation after 4:00pm on the day of arrival and tenants are asked to vacate the premises by 10:00am on the day of departure. Provisional bookings will be accepted by telephone, but must be confirmed by returning a completed booking form together with a deposit of £150 per week within 7 days. The balance of the full rental must be paid not less than four weeks before the commencement of the let. In addition a separate cheque for accidental damage and good housekeeping for £250 must be sent with the deposit. This will be returned in full within 1 week of your departure date so long as there has been no damage and the apartment is left as found.
