Located in a popular country village with a historic Market Hall, two churches, a village shop, post office and two excellent pubs - all within easy walking distance of the house. Ideally situated for the picturesque town of Bakewell and the stately homes of Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall. Alton Towers is also only a 40-minute drive away. The Peak District landscape offers a whole range of outdoor activities including, walking in magnificent countryside, rock climbing, golfing, canoeing, sailing, caving and cycling, with popular places such as Matlock Bath, the Tissington Trail, Carsington Water and Dovedale only a brief drive away.
The cottage consists of: Four spacious bedrooms, one with double and single bed, washbasin and shower. Views over open countryside, one with double bed and washbasin, 2 seater settee and garden views. One with double bed, washbasin, 2 seater settee and TV. Views over open countryside. One double bedroom with ¾ bed wash basin and shower room. All with shaver points. Separate master bathroom and downstairs toilet.
Two comfortable lounges one with a sofa bed, both with TV and one with DVD/CD player and open fires. Dining room with a table big enough to seat your whole party in front of an open range fire and garden views. Fully equipped kitchen with gas fired Aga, 2 refrigerators, microwave, and dishwasher. Utility room with washing machine, tumble drier, drinks fridge and freezer. Free internet connection for your laptop computer. Outside - beautiful cottage gardens with seating areas and garden furniture. On-site parking for up to 3 cars, with free public parking immediately beside the house.

The dining/breakfast room has an extra large dining table, which can comfortably seat 11 people in front of an open range fire, with views and access to the south facing garden.

Terrestrial TV, DVD, CD System, Board Games. There are televisions in both lounges one with DVD/CD player. There is also a television in 'Quilting Bee' room.
Outside:
Terrace, Garden, Parking, Garden Furniture. Outside is a delightful country cottage garden. Wander through the meandering paths and enjoy its beauty. There are also two seating areas where you can sit and relax, enjoy a drink or a meal.

We do have a downstairs bedroom and toilet. There are no more than 3 steps to negotiate on the ground floor and from the driveway.

About Winster and the Peak District. The historic lead-mining village of Winster sits in the scenic heart of the Peak National Park, the White Peaks, where the limestone rock formations and steep-sided dales make up the landscape. This landscape offers a number of outdoor activities including, walking, rock climbing, golfing, canoeing, sailing, caving and cycling, with popular places such as Matlock Bath, the Tissington Trail, Carsington Water and Dovedale only a brief drive away.
Likewise, the picturesque town of Bakewell and the stately homes of Chatsworth and Haddon Hall are close at hand. Alton Towers, Gulliver's Kingdom and the Cable Cars are also within easy reach. The picturesque village of Winster is a much sought after holiday destination. It hosts an historic Market Hall, churches, a village shop, Post Office and two excellent pubs - all within easy walking distance of the house.
Winster hosts its annual Wakes week in June, with different activities daily throughout the week culminating with a carnival and street party on Saturday when the Winster Morris Dancers are a particular attraction. For one weekend in July the Secret Gardens of Winster are open to the general public. Discover the beauty and enchantment of these wonderful hidden gardens.

Derbyshire's premier water spots centre. Sailing, wind surfing, canoe and kayaking, cycling, walking, children's play areas, picnic areas.

Weekly bookings are from Friday at 4:00pm to Friday at 10:00am, weekend breaks are from Friday at 4:00pm to Monday at 10:00am and can be made on request, subject to availability.
