Carlyon Bay: With over a mile of sand even on the busiest summer days there is plenty of room on the beach it is easy to see why Carlyon Bay is popular with families.
Carlyon Bay Golf: The first nine holes of the spectacular 6500 yard course stretches out along the cliff top, enjoying magnificent views of golden sands. Then the course turns inland through beautiful countryside scenery with many natural hazards including a disused mine shaft, making the course interesting and challenging for golfers of all handicaps.
Charlestown: Charles Rashleigh, a wealthy mine owner, built Charlestown harbour in 1791. Charlestown is now used as a location for filming and the sailing ships are a permanent feature. There is a large car park on the right hand side as you enter the village and from there the harbour, art and pottery shops and the Rashleigh Pub are within easy reach. Public toilets are located above the beach. The beaches at Charlestown are covered in flint pebbles. Although painful on the feet without footwear Charlestown beaches offers safe bathing and rock pools at low tide.
