Kontoyiannis House is a traditional Cyprus village house from the period before the 1890's Thick stone walls, lots of windows, built around a central courtyard. Wooden shutters are a feature of Cypriot architecture. Cool courtyards in summer filled with grape vines and a riot of colour in the scattered flower pots. In winter a warm suntrap for a peaceful lunch.

The house is very near the village square and all amenities. We are also a short 5 minute drive to the popular but secluded Governors beach with wonderful local restaurants.
Also located in the village are numerous restaurants and out door eating places. It has its own secluded courtyard offering peace and privacy to its occupants - the apartment has it own patio or balcony.

Kalavasos is centrally located for the whole island so a great place for a holiday experience that will allow you to visit the whole of Cyprus and at the same time see how the typical Cypriot passes his day. The village square is full of coffee shops where locals and visitors alike can enjoy a nice cup of coffee, a glass of the local Zivania.
Governors beach, a secluded area, is also just a few minutes away with excellent beaches and local restaurants where you can experience our local specialities.
Kalavasos is a lovely village, caring and hospitable to all its visitors. Nestled in the King River (Vasilopotamos) valley at the foot of Kalavasos Dam.
Enjoy fresh fish at Zigy fishing village. Come pick grapes while sitting on your balcony or fruit from our orchard! You can even help us pick our olives if you come during the winter months.
Cyprus comes to life in spring. It's a great time to explore the mountain trails. Village life and countryside. We have a nice orchard to stroll and pick your own fruit. Local aromatic herb garden, where you can sample and/or buy the tea.
Ziggy fishing village with local tavernas 5 mins drive. Governors beach 10 mins drive with great beaches and restaurant, including water sports and games for children. Camel farm by the beach at Mazodos. Horse Riding and cycling also available in the village. Historical sites nearby. e.g Chirokitia Neolithic site nearby.
Limassol 20 mins for water parks, night life, water sports and everygthing else available in large towns. Larnaca 30 mins for water parks, night life, water sports. Nicosia 30 mins, capital with shopping and lots of museums etc. Paphos 1 hour renown for its water sports. Mountains 1 hour, lovely wineries to visit and some great mountain trails etc. Golf 40 minutes drive
Junction 15 Limassol-Nicosia highway.From Larnaca airport go towards Limassol, take Jnction 15.From Paphos airport follow signs towarnd Nicosia after Limassol take the turning after Governors beach.
