This 2 bedroom (sleeps 6) fully furnished first floor apartment in the Tadora Towers is light and fresh enjoying the luxury of two balconies’ accessible from the lounge & main bedroom with beautiful mountain views. Centrally heated throughout and with a real log fire it's perfectly suited to snowy winters in the mountains.
Our apartment is just 50m from the main ski lift (Avant-Garde Gondola), giving swift access to the two main ski-slopes of Chalin Valog and Shiligarnika. It is within easy walking distance of Bansko’s historic old town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which sports cobbled streets, ancient stone houses, cosy ‘mehanas’ and beautiful 12th Century church.
The apartment is managed by English speaking representatives who on your arrival in Bansko will meet you for a welcome drink and arrange key handover & orientation, they are available 24hrs to help with any questions or any problems (however an out of office hours call fee may apply). The apartment is serviced daily.

Bansko ski resort is the biggest new winter resorts in Bulgaria following a multi-million euros investment in new skiing technology. Bansko has the best snow record and the longest ski season of all Balkan ski resorts, with great snow cover from December until May and boasts 44 Techno-alpine snow cannons covering most of the slopes to ensure a full ski season! Bansko has 70 km of marked pistes offering runs and tracks for all types of skiers suiting beginners through to experts.
It offers opportunities for skiers, snowboarders and for the extreme sports, biathlon and x-country skiing enthusiasts. Slalom and Giant slalom runs are available for all as well as some wonderful conditions for night skiing 18.30 - 21.30 daily. Skiers and snowboarders can take part in the competitions and fun parks provide opportunities to ski over present artificial or ‘build your own’ bumps and jumps as well half –pipes. A bonus for the skier is a 5km cross-country track and a 7 km long lighted ski-road between Banderishka polyana and the town.
Apres Ski: With so much to enjoy on the slopes it is important to have accommodation to enjoy at the end of the day. Our apartment is at the base of the mountain, thus no long, weary, tired walk home! After unwinding in comfort of the apartment it is time for you to explore what the town of Bansko has to offer.
There are places catering for all ages and tastes. As our apartment is located in the heart of ski village it is just minutes away from many traditional Bansko taverns (called "Mehana"), which along with their exceptional charm and style offer local atmosphere by their cuisine and good selection of Bulgarian wines. Most "Mehanas" also offer live folk music. There are also many local cafes and bars offering refreshments and meals. Discos and night clubs work without time limit, and usually close early in the morning. There is even a casino and bowling alley!!!

Local activities in and around Bansko, West and Mountains
For those who are not full time skiers or those who wish to visit in warmer months there's a lot to see in the town of Bansko, which is very different from the many of the older ski resorts including Borovets or Pamporovo. Bansko combines great skiing, beautiful nature and historical significance. Various souvenir shops offer the creations of the local artists and smiths. With around 120 cultural and historical monuments and a lot to explore, Bansko is known to be unique site of international significance. Of interest is The Holy Trinity church with its 30 m high bell tower and clock, splendid murals and woodcarvings.
Remains from ancient fortresses in the Staroto Gradishte site are situated just four km away. Nearby is the Staroto Gradishte site where there are Thracian mound hills. South of Bansko is the National Park Pirin, UNESCO listed for cultural and natural sightseeing. The park is rich with lakes, waterfalls, caves, venerable trees and historical sites. Bansko is also famous for its mineral springs. We also recommend a visit to the famous Rila Monastery and the busy city of Sofia.
Bansko is not only a great ski resort, but in the summer it is the host of the traditional Summer Jazz Festival, Bulgarian Folk Festival and many other cultural events.
During the summer months Bansko is popular with visitors for hiking, walking, mountain picnics, biking, white water rafting, horseback riding, paint-balling, excursions to national parks, Dancing Bear Park or Rila Monastery. And for the golf enthusiast recently opened are 9 holes of the first Bansko Razlog golf course - Pirin golf, designed by European Golf Design as an 18 hole (par 72) layout, with the signature of 2006 Ryder Cup European team captain, Ian Woosnam. The full 18-hole Ian Woosnam design course will be opened in 2009 and over 30 other golf courses are either in the process of being built or planned within the coming months and years.

We can assist with details for direct transfers to Bansko from Sofia or Plovdiv airports or cross boarder transfers from Greece (Kavaia or Skopje airports or Thessalonica). We are also able to provide contacts and discounts for ski school, ski hire and lift passes, day trips and a nearby English speaking crèche.
Our changeover day is normally Saturday but depending on other bookings we can be flexible on arrival days and lengths of stay, especially out of the main school holidays. We offer a 10% discount for stays longer than 14 days.
