Our self catering accommodation consists of a spacious, modern village house. Living/dining & kitchen area are open plan for sociable living. Luxurious family bathroom & tastefully decorated bedrooms. The perfect sanctuary for enjoying the bounteous amount of outdoor pursuits on offer, or a place to relax amongst the stunning surrounding countryside.
This house provides all the comforts of home. To make life easy, you have the washing machine, dishwasher, large cooker, large fridge, microwave, and all the kitchen utensils you can imagine. For those with children, we have provided a high chair, two types of cot, stairgate, plastic bowls, plates and cutlery, baby mat, changing mat, bath slip mat and much more. The house is extremely spacious, so even with a group of 10 people or a large family, there is plenty of room to spread yourselves. The loft area is a double bedroom but also provides a second living space with sofa, TV and DVD player.
Due to its location, you are less than 2 mins from the local bakery, so you can collect your fresh croissant or pain au chocolat for breakfast. Within the village is also a local deli, supermarket, Post Office, bar, restaurant, butcher, pharmacy and you have a small local park with a basic playground. Just 3 mins walk from the house is the local outdoor swimming pool overlooking the valley, which is open from 1st July to 31st August.
The two local towns are Objat and Pompadour which are both 10mins drive away. On Sunday morning, Objat has a fantastic market with all local meat, fruit, vegetables and more. Here you will find more bars and restaurants too. In Pompadour you have the Chateau de Pompadour, the equestrian centre and horse riding track. They hold magnificent horse riding events here throughout the year.
You may not be by the coast, however, you have the choice to enjoy the rivers of the area, various lakes, or the swimming pools. There is an excellent water park in Objat, adjacent to a lake and river. All perfect for the summer holidays. If you grow tired of all the glorious countryside, then make a trip to Brive-La-Gaillarde. It has a lovely old town, with great boutique and High St shops, and loads of bars and restaurants.
