Situated only a couple of minutes walk from the harbour front at Porthleven, one of the most popular up and coming destinations of Cornwall's south coast. This pretty cottage has been carefully converted into a stylish holiday home to suit a small family or couples. Contemporary furnished in a coastal style with a woodburning stove and handcrafted kitchen you can not fail to enjoy this cottage.
Its idyllic location is perfect for those seeking a destination where you have everything on your doorstep, pubs, restauarants, beach, surf, coastla walks and ice cream parlours. What more can you want! If you are really lucky the local dolphin pod will put on a display for you at the end of the pier!
The fascination of Porthleven is the old stone walled harbour from which local fishermen chug out to sea daily and children dive into its clear waters on a hot summer's day. The fishmonger on the quayside sells fish freshly harvested from the sea and people are content to sit in one of the cafes or restaurants and watch harbour life.
Just a five minute walk away 'The Banana House' still retains much of its character, enhanced by careful renovation. Natural slate and solid wood floors, stripped pine doors and an all white décor blend seamlessly with contemporary furnishings to create a stylish and modern interior. In keeping with tradition, the glow of a wood burning stove provides a cosy atmosphere to return to after invigorating winter walks along windswept shores, and the open plan living room is comfortably arranged with a hand crafted kitchen at one end. Steep narrow stairs lead up to small but tastefully presented bedrooms. Characteristically, to the rear of the cottage there is a small courtyard which is shared with two neighbouring properties. Parking can usually be found on the road outside or nearby.

Porthleven has a wealth to offer those who visit. A very good selection of restaurants ranging from good pub grub to excellent fine cuisine. Coastal walks stretch in both directions and for those who wish to catch their dinner there are many fishing trips leaving from the harbour. The beach is patrolled during the summer weeks and stretches for over a mile long. Rock pools will keep the young ones amused and the notorious reef will attract those experienced surfers.
