Kyrenia - Spacious, modern Penthouse apartment. New to rental market. Our Penthouse is the complete top floor of a 3 storey building. 3 bedrms all with air con, double beds & fitted wardrobes, 2 double sofa beds are in the large lounge allowing for extra people (suitable for children) Three huge balconys from bedrms,lounge & kitchen, built in BBQ. Fantastic Sea & mountain veiws, 100 metres from sea.
Very close all shops, bars, resturants, The old town & harbour, all within walking distance (10 mins) but if you have a car theres off street parking under the apartments so cars stay cool in the mid day sun. A court yard with fountain water feature divides two identical apartments blocks. Each block has five apartments , so a total of 10 apartments in all, each one owned privately, so you will never feel over crowded. A communual pool with baby pool finishes off this lovely site. The site has a cleaner & gardener so everything is kept clean & tidy, just as you would hope to find it.

3 double bedrooms all with fully fitted wardrobes. All bedrooms have patio doors onto the balconys with sea & mountain veiws. All bedrooms have air con & 'black out' curtains keeping out the morning sun. There's 1 bathroom with bath & integral shower, WC & sink and a 2nd separate WC.
The kitchen has all the necessary cooking utensils and crockery you would need including a large fridge/freezer, a water cooler/heater unit. Washing machine & clothes airer. The lounge is lge & open plan with patio doors at both ends. A real fire place , an elec heater & gas heater (in case of power cuts) for the winter nights & a lge air con unit for the summer.
There are 2 sofa beds, (suitable for children) allowing the apartment to slp 8. TV & DVD player with a selection of films. Dinning table seats 6. Patio furniture seating for 6 for alfresco dining & sun beds are available on the huge balcony with built in BBQ. The front door to the block has a security door with entry phone for your added peace of mind. Travel cot & high chair available at no charge
The apartment is 2 Minutes away from the sea & 3 mins away from a main street with large supermarket, resturants, takeaways, shops, petrol station, internet cafes. 3 mins away is a newly refurbished (may 2008)childrens play park complete with outside gym equipment for the adults, all free of charge.
Kyrenia town centre & old town with harbour is a 10 minute walk. 30 mins drive to the new Korineum Golf & Country Club. There are many historic places to visit. If you hire a car & drive around the Island (guide books & maps in the apt) you will see some wonderful views of the mountains & coast line. Explore all the little villages.
Some of the beaches are nesting sites for sea turtles -July & Aug sees the baby turtles hatch. Nicosia - capital city of the island - has 2 divided sectors, Turkish & Greek. You can walk across the border to the Greek side of the island, remember your passport!

3 Double Bedrooms. There are 2 sofa beds in lounge that could sleep 2 children, although linen is not automatically supplied, it can be requested with a small charge to cover the laundry. A travel cot is also available.

1 Bathroom, 1 Separate WC. Decorated in cream & brown the bathroom & 2nd separate WC are clean, modern & functional, offering shower or bath. Water is solar heated so helps to save on the cost of electric. Towels are provided.
Kitchen:
Cooker, Hob, Fridge, Freezer, Washing Machine, Iron. I personally spend a lot time here with my family & I think I've thought of everything, but if there is something missing, give me a call, I live on the island & hopefully I can sort it.
General:
Real Fire, Air Conditioning, House Linen, Towels Provided. There are electric heaters for the chillier nights, we do have them in autum/winter. Cleaning during stay can be arranged, at a charge. Linen & towel change weekly. Washing machine & clothes airer.

Seating for 6. Inside a dining table seats 6, there is also seating for 8 with large table on one of the balconies to dine alfresco with a built in BBQ & all the BBQ equipment needed.

Communal Pool, Terrace, Garden, BBQ, Parking, Balcony, Garden Furniture. Cyprus is all about being outside, our pool and patio offer great sunbathing by day and has lights should you wish to use the outside area at night. On the penthouse balcony there are sunbeds

Our Penthouse is the complete top floor of a 3 storey building so there are stairs but only 4 short flights, we have young children & we don't find it a problem
Local activities in and around Kyrenia, Northern Cyprus
Eating - lots of different restaurants to choose from traditional Cypriot food with a host of different mezes to typically English fish & chips. Chinese, Indian, Italian and Mexican restaurants mean you will never be stuck for choice. Delivery services also available, menus are in your information pack. Clubs are varied but there are lots to choose from, in the height of the summer the open air clubs are fantastic, with dancing on the beach till early hours, about 15 min drive away, all the fun with out the noise. Taxi's are never a problem and have meters. There are also some great live music venues.
If pamperings your thing then lots of the big hotels have health clubs, spas & treatment rooms that are open to outside guests. The casinos are a great way to spend a night, with free drinks & table nibbles all designed to keep you at the betting tables longer - good luck. A walk through the old town with it's maze of little cobbled allys & back street bars & restaurants, you can't get lost as everthing leads to the sea. The harbour is a fantastic place to walk along & have a meal & drink, it's two completely different places by day & night, so you must visit it at least twice.
There are lots of souvenir shops from the very tasteful to the terribly tacky. If you like designer gear then theres the real thing or there are the good copies, there are also shops that have the logo sewn on upside down, so beware!

Korineum Golf & Country Club
Situated on the Coast at the foot of The Five Finger Mountain in Esentepe, the prestigious Korineum Golf & Country Club is proud to be the first 18 hole golf course in Northern Cyprus. Carved from a natural forest of Umbrella Pines and Olive trees, amongst others, with stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea on one side, and breathtaking views of the famous Five Finger Mountain range on the other, this makes for a truly memorable experience you will never forget.
In its heyday the town harbour was lined with warehouses in which were stored the fruits of the countryside whilst they awaited export. The harbour is currently used largely for pleasure craft, and the buildings are now mostly all restaurants, with outdoor tables along the water. A larger harbour is located a few miles east of the town centre, used by commercial shipping and ferries from the Turkish mainland.
The castle at the east end of the old harbour is a very spectacular site and within its walls there is a twelfth century chapel showing reused late Roman capitals. The main features of the exterior of the castle are the huge round towers built by the Venetians in 1540 AD
Troodos is the biggest mountain range of Cyprus, located in the center of the island. Troodos' highest peak is Mount Olympus at 1,952 meters.
The mountain range stretches across most of the western side of Cyprus. There are many famous mountain resorts, Byzantine monasteries and churches on mountain peaks, and nestling in its valleys and picturesque mountain villages clinging to terraced hill slopes. Dive Centre where they will welcome you to the fascinating and unique underwater world of North Cyprus, where you can enjoy one of the longest diving seasons in the Mediterranean. You can choose from about twenty diving sites east and west of Kyrenia as well as diving safaris to other places along the coast. These are sites that will give the experienced diver thrills and the warm, crystal-clear water and limited depth provide perfect learning conditions for the beginner.
Detailed directions will be emailed to guests before departure as there are a choice of aiports. The closest being Ercan30km, Larnaca 50km and Paphos 120km. Transfers can be arranged at extra cost.

Rental Notes: Check out 10 am - Check in 4pm although this can be flexible if other bookings permit. Welcome packs can be arranged & any special requests can be hopefully met. Flexible change over days, enabling you to minimise flight costs.
The total cost should be paid now if the arrival date is less than 8 weeks away. Otherwise a 25% deposit is due with booking and the balance should be paid 8 weeks prior to your arrival date.
Electricity will be charged at the local rate. A meter reading will be done upon your arrival & on your departure day. You will be charged for the exact amount of electricity you use - If you want the air conditioning on 24 hours a day, great but you pay for it. We think this is the fairest way to charge as some people won't even turn it on. The electricity charges will come out of the £100 holding deposit. Also any damages, lost keys etc will also be assessed & the difference returned to you.
