We are a family run working hill farm set in peaceful countryside next to the Howgills. From the farm you can walk out onto open fells and the Pennines/Lakes and Dales are all within easy reach. Situated just 5 miles from the M6 Jct 38 we have easy access to the many attractions this area has to offer.
Within 2 miles of Stable cottage you will find fishing, golf, tennis, 2 public houses and a garden centre with excellent menus, churches and open access to the miles of fells surrounding us. Furnished to a high 4 * standard stable cottage is fully equipped and has everything you need to make your holiday comfortable and relaxing.

The cottage is well maintained and spotlessly clean! The upstairs is an open plan lounge/kitchen dining area with all its original beams it is attractively furnished with 2 leather sofas and chair, TV (freeview), Hi-Fi & DVD player , there are also games & jigsaws to keep the children entertained. The kitchen is fully equipped for all your needs with a gas hob electric cooker and fridge. The dining table comfortably seats six people.
The bedrooms are colour co-ordinated and spacious. One bedroom has a double bed (which are zip & link to make 2 singles on request) and the other bedroom has three single beds(which can also be made into 1 double /1 single on request). The bathroom has a bath with shower over it WC and shaver point.
There is a store room under the stairs with iron/ironing board, hoover and other essentials. The whole cottage is well looked after clean, comfortable and just made for rest and relaxation and ideal for singles, couples and families. Your bed linen and towels are provided and the beds are made up waiting for you. Rental rates also include electricity, gas & central heating.

Local activities in and around Ravenstonedale, North
As we are a working farm there are lots of animals to be seen, (tours available by request) From your accommodation you can walk or cycle straight out onto the open fell. The coast to coast walk runs along side us. We can accommodate horses if you wish to bring them the bridal ways in the area are endless. The nearest swimming pool is in Appleby 25 mins by car this is also a picturesque market town.

Accommodation is available Fri - Fri from 3-30pm. We ask that you vacate your accommodation by 10-00am on your day of departure. Guests arriving early are welcome by arrangement to check in and leave their luggage or enter accommodation if ready.
Deposit. A deposit of £100 is required to confirm booking. The rest of the balance is due 5 weeks prior to the start of the holiday.
