Luxuriously refurbished to give a light and contemporary feel. Free WiFi broadband and laptop provided. Rental price is fully inclusive - no hidden extras.

The apartment has 120m2 of living space, and 40m2 of balconies with fabulous views.

Superb family bathroom with twin basins, WC, full sized bath & shower; a shower room with basin and WC; plus a separate cloakroom.

The chalet is situated in a quiet close to the shops and Telecabine. Haute Nendaz is a thriving large village/small town that has been described as having all that Verbier has to offer, only cheaper.

The many restaurants cater for all tastes from Thai to Italian, and the local raclette and fondue dishes are excellent.

It's rare to find Swiss wine outside Switzerland, and the locally grown reds and whites are a real treat.

  The apartment has an open plan living/dining area served by a glossy cream kitchen. There are black galaxy granite worktops, and it is fully equipped for 10 people for every self-catering need from egg cups to apron.

The downstairs bathroom and cloakroom are tiled in cream limestone, and floored in the same honey limestone that runs throughout the kitchen, living and dining area. There is a full size white enamel bath with shower mixer, a WC, double basins with an illuminated cupboard above, and glass and stainless steel cupboards below. The cloakroom has a single basin with illuminated cupboard above, and a WC

The upstairs bathroom has a single basin with illuminated mirror above, and glass/stainless steel cabinets below, plus a WC. The floor is tiled in black granite, and the shower cubicle and rest of the bathroom are wall tiled in white marble. Gorgeous!

None of the bedrooms are overlooked (except by the mountains!) and each has a door onto large balconies, plus there are double wardrobes with wooden hangers. The beds can be arranged from twin 3' into one double bed in 2 of the 4 bedrooms - please let us know when booking.

All bedrooms are tastefully decorated in neutral colours and carpeted in cream wool. White towelling bathrobes and grey Muji slippers are provided for all guests.

The living area has comfy sofas and other seating, and an open fireplace with a good supply of seasoned logs. There's even a pair of bellows if you run out of puff.

The building has a lift, and in the basement is a laundry room with a large washer, tumble drier (20 centimes for 10 minutes), and clothes lines.

Inside near the main entrance door there is a ski room to store skis, boards and boots.

Outside there is a communal garden with bench table and seating which is lovely in summer. There is a private car park with one allocated parking space.

The common parts of the building are regularly cleaned by the concierge who also clears snow from the path and steps.

  3 Double Bedrooms, 1 Family Bedroom. The beds in two of the bedrooms can be arranged either as twins, or a double. In one of the bedrooms there are two large 3'6'' singles, and two 2'6'' beds up on the galleried areas great for children

  1 Bathroom, 1 Shower, 1 Separate WC. The upstairs bathroom has a white marble tiled shower cubicle and the water pressure is so good it's practically a power-shower. The downstairs bath is full-sized, and there are three loos in total.
Kitchen:
  Cooker, Hob, Fridge, Freezer, Dishwasher, Washing Machine, Iron. The modern kitchen is well lit with ceiling spots and under-unit lights. The large washing machine and tumble drier (plus several clothes lines) are situated in the basement laundry room.
General:
  Real Fire, Central Heating, Telephone, House Linen, Towels Provided, Internet Access. The open fireplace has a full set of fire irons, bellows and a good supply of seasoned firewood. The central heating is very efficient, so you may decide a real fire is for character only.
Dining:
  Seating for 10. The dining table can seat 8 adults and 2 children. There is a cushioned bench seat, and several dining chairs. Conveniently situated next to the kitchen area.
Entertainment:
  Terrestrial TV, DVD, CD System, Board Games. There is a large selection of games - classics like Monopoly, Trivial Pursuit, Scrabble and Twister, jigsaws (testing 1000-piecers), books and 127 popular movie DVDs. Snowshoe kits are provided.
Outside:
  Garden, Parking, Balcony, Garden Furniture. The communal garden area has bench table seating in the summer months, though the apartment balconies catch the sun all day long. The concierge maintains the communal interior and exterior areas.

    This a penthouse apartment with many balconies - active toddlers may require supervision. There is a lift, though the apartment is not suited to full wheelchair access.
     
 
Local activities in and around Nendaz, Valais (Pennine/Bernese Alps)
 
         
Just a couple of minutes walk from the apartment is the local sports 'centre', with football pitches, paragliding landing site, a horse-riding menage, a childrens playground, a childrens bike obstacle course, and supervised 'bungee trampolining' which is all very Lara Croft!

In the winter the ice rink is opened, and when local tournaments aren't being played, ice skating is available and floodlit at night. There are also 2 large 'wall climbs' for the intrepid.

Summer sees the village thronging with hikers and walkers, who use Haute Nendaz as their base for the hundreds of kms of marked trails that are accessed from the resort. The chairlifts run between June and late September, enabling walkers and bikers to start their routes at altitude. Summer temperatures can reach 30C, though there is usually a cool breeze.

Just a couple of minutes walk from the apartment is the swimming pool. This is heated to 25C between June and September and has incredible views across the Rhone Valley.

Mountain bikes may be carried free of charge on the lift system, and can be hired (along with the full kit) from several of the local sports shops.

Perhaps the biggest secret to this area are the Bisse. 100km of ancient irrigation waterways that link up the neighbouring mountain villages. The longest is the Bisse Saxon which runs above and to the west of the resort. The prettiest (in my opinion) is the Bisse Vieux which runs through forests and emerges in the Mont Fort valley above lovely meadows. From Haute Nendaz to Planchouet is about 4 miles, and after a nice lunch there, one can take the lower Bisse Mileau back to the resort. On this Bisse there are several waterfalls. The highest and most spectacular Bisse is Combatzeline - take the bus (or walk!) to Siviez, the chairlift to the top, and walk round the bright turquoise Lac de Cleuson, cross the dam rampart, and walk back down to Siviez - about 12 miles in all. We've seen golden eagles circling above us.

Rental Notes:
Changeover day is usually Saturdays though we're flexible, and you will be met at the apartment for key delivery and collection. Please aim to arrive after 4pm, and kindly leave by 10am on day of departure to allow sufficient time for cleaning, bed changing etc.

Prices include all tourist taxes, a thorough apartment pre and post-clean, fresh bed linen, bath sheets and bath towels, organic soap, bathrobes and slippers for all guests for each week of booking.

The nearby Migros supermarket closes at 6pm, so a Welcome Pack will be in the apartment: fresh bread, butter, milk, eggs, coffee and tea and a bottle of wine - to see you through to the morning.

A 25% non-refundable deposit will secure your booking, with the balance plus a refundable £300 damage deposit payable no later than 6 weeks before arrival. Any bookings made within 6 weeks of arrival to be paid in full. Payments may be made by bank transfer or cheque.
