Across the centre and to the south east of the island lie plains dotted with windmills, whilst olive and almond groves flourish in the rich soil.
The beautiful Cala D'or offers many small, fine sandy beaches, perfect for relaxing on. The town centre is very lively in the summer months but much more low key than the larger and more populated resorts in Mallorca, therefore perfect for those with young families. The area also offers a wide variety of quaint shops, and bars and restaurants. The marina area is very popular and it houses many exclusive yachts and chartered boats throughout the year.
