Le Rayol/Canadel sits on the delectable and largely unspoilt Mediterranean coastline that lies to the west of St Tropez. The villa which is a short walk from the beach has views as far as the eye can see over the Isles D'Hyeres (the golden islands). We have large sun terraces, swimming pool with children's pool and garden with lots of spaces to sit and relax.
The house built in the 1920's was purchased by the present English Architect owner in 1998 as a family home. The gardens are terraced with lovely stone walls, a huge variety of plants, lawns and mature trees. The house has wireless interness.
Mas Notre Dame is a family home, we use it ourselves during the winter months and it is therefore furnished as our home and not as a typical holiday home. The rooms are arranged on two floors. On the main floor is the kitchen breakfast room with modern units and appliances which include a Samsung side by side fridge freezer with ice maker and water dispenser, stainless steel double oven fitted microwave,and dishwasher, toaster, plenty of crockery, cutlery, glasses etc.
The living room with doors opening onto the large covered terrace is comfortably furnished with 'L' shape settee, C.D player, tape player and radio. Two bedrooms both with en-suite facilities, one with twin beds and en-suite bathroom and toilet and the other with double bed and en-suite shower room with toilet both have doors opening onto an open terrace with sea views.
On the lower floor, accessed by a spiral staircase are two further bedrooms, again one with single beds and an en-suite shower room with toilet, the other with queen bed and adjacent shower room with toilet. Between these two bedrooms is a family bedroom with two single beds. The laundry room with washing machine, iron and ironing board.
This area has doors onto the swimming pool terrace. On this level is also a large basement sitting room with settee and wicker chairs, satelite television DVD video and books for you to enjoy, together with an extra fridge to save all that effort of going to the kitchen from the pool.
The swimming pool is fully tiled 9 x 4m plus an additional childrens pool, with salt sanitation system this has a large Western Red Cedar sun deck. with sun loungers. The pool also has an electrically operated safety cover and pool alarm. We have a gas BBQ, pretty garden, somewhere to play boules as well as many places to sit and relax in the sun or the shade.

2 Double Bedrooms, 2 Twin Bedrooms, 1 Family Bedroom. We have five bedrooms but the family bedroom is only for children as access to bathroom facilities is obtained only through the adjoining bedroom, this makes sleeping for 8 adults + 2 children.

1 Bathroom, 3 Showers, 1 Separate WC. The bathroom and shower rooms are all tiled and all have a toilet. Taps are thermostatically controlled on the shower/bath. The hand basins have mixer taps.
Kitchen:
Cooker, Hob, Microwave, Fridge, Freezer, Dishwasher, Washing Machine, Iron. The kitchen/breakfast room has modern units and appliances, toaster, plenty of crocks, cutlery, glasses etc: The washing machine and ironing facilities are in the laundry room.
General:
Real Fire, House Linen, Towels Provided, Internet Access. All bed linen including bathroom towels and poolside towels supplied but we do not supply beach towels.
We have a wireless internet connection.
Dining:
Seating for 10. The covered terrace has a teak table and wicker chairs seating 10. The breakfast room has seating for 8. there are more chairs in the house if needed. Another table and chairs are on the open terrace.
Entertainment:
Terrestrial TV, Satellite TV, Video, DVD, Radio, CD System. The satellite TV is free to air giving some BBC and ITV chanels. We have a few video's, cartoons and films.
Outside:
Private Pool, Terrace, Garden, BBQ, Parking, Garden Furniture. The swimming pool is 9x4m plus a childrens pool with an electronically operated safety cover, pool alarm and salt sanitation system. We have an area to play boules, gas BBQ, terrace seating. Garden.

Mas Notre Dame is only a short walk to the beach. Just 2 km to the East is the village Le Rayol with the Domaine du Rayol. Botanical Garden, 12 acres of flora from around the world. Just a short distance from the typical local village and to the West, Cavaliere sur Mer also with local shops, restaurants and beautiful beaches.
The local seaside towns of Le Lavandou and Cavalaire are about 10 mins drive, both of these towns have large established marinas, supermarkets many fine restaurants and are well equiped with shops. We are just 35 mins drive to the golf course at la Londe. We have superb cycle routes and plenty of places to walk.
The view from the house is the Islands of Hyeres. regular ferries go from Cavalaire and le Lavandou. These beautiful protected islands are perfect for diving, walking, cycling or snorkeling. The local tourist office has details of walks in the maures hills behind the house. A short drive to the water park and and bird garden.
St Tropez is a drive, but well worth it just to people watch and look at the amazing boats in the harbour, visit the delightful little restaurants and see the local artists.
Sports: Cavaliere has a sailing school with lessons available for beginners to the more experienced. Bike hire, Quad bikes, and paint ball. Water skiing, tennis and practice golf. La Londe and St Maxime 18 hole golf course - Le Lavandou tennis practice golf and mini golf.
Further away: Medieval City of Hyeres 20 Miles.
The house is near the sea, equidistant between Nice and Marseille.

Rental Notes: The house is available from Saturday to Saturday from 4pm on the day of arrival until 10 am on the day of departure. Much as we hope you have enjoyed your stay so much that you won't want to leave it is important to vacate by 10am to give time to prepare the house for our next guests.
The house is cleaned in time for your arrival. Further cleaning and baby sitting can be had by prior arrangement.
Our rental price is inclusive of all charges, no extras! including the supply of bed linen, towels, poolside towels, water and electricity.
