  Our beautiful apartment in St. Maxime is situated on a new, high quality domain set in park land, 1.5km from the town centre. The house is spacious, light and airy and offers guests a peaceful and convenient location from which to explore the stunning beaches and picturesque villages of the Cote d'Azur. Local amenities are excellent, the nearest supermarket being situated less than three minutes drive from the park. The beautiful town and port is within walking distance as is the St. Maxime 'Aqualand'.

Both kitchen and lounge open out onto a large terrace area ideal for al fresco living. Access to the upstairs balcony can be gained from each of the two bedrooms. The communal pool is for exclusive use by residents and offers exceptional views over the Gulf of St Tropez and the surrounding hillside. The apartment has a garage and ample off-road parking.

  St. Maxime is a charming seaside town situated on the Gulf of St. Tropez. It offers visitors an exceptional climate and a calm pace of life all the year round.

The picturesque cobbled streets offer an excellent variety of boutiques, restaurants and outdoor cafes in which to while away the time. In the heart of the old town you will discover many houses which have been renovated in their original style with their roofs of Roman tiles, shady squares, the covered provencal market (open every day except Mondays in winter), the square tower which holds the museum of local traditions and the 18th century campanile bell tower of wrought iron. Colourful outdoor markets provide a wide range of fine regional produce as well as a wide choice of ready cooked meals!

Sainte Maxime's location on the Gulf of St Tropez gives convenient access to the many pretty sandy bays and the stunning beaches of La Nartelle (3km) and Pampelonne (15km). The historic hilltop villages of Grimaud, Gassin, Ramatuelle, Plan de la Tour and Le Garde Freinet are all within easy reach and command exceptional panoramic views of the surrounding area.

The lively port situated in the centre of town is a two minute walk from the shops. Here you can catch a regular ferry crossing to St. Tropez (12 euros return) or tour the Gulf passing the residences of many well known celebrities and stopping off in Port Grimaud. Other excursions are available to the Islands of Hyeres, Port Cros, Porquerolles and The Islands of Lerins.

Golf is very popular in Sainte Maxime. The International course is set in the marvellous setting of the garrique and of cork trees, facing the bay of St. Tropez. With over 300 days of sunshine per year it makes Sainte Maxime a perfect place to enjoy golf in the winter months as well as the summer.

The climate is particularly mild in winter: between 12 and 20 degrees centigrade, warm and airy in summer: 27 degrees on average.

    The domain is quite hilly and therefore a car would be highly recommended. Not really suitable for toddlers and small children.

St. Maxime is faithful to its traditions and information regarding the many festivals, concerts and parades that take place throughout the year can be accessed from the Tourist Information Office situated in the centre of town. From the 'Corso du Mimosa' floral procession in February to the 'Bain du Bout de l'an' in December, St. Maxime offers a host of original events.

The local area offers a wide range of activities to cater for all tastes! If winetasting is your passion then you won't be disappointed. Within a 30 minute driving radius there are far too many vineyards and wineries to mention!

Sainte Tropez is 14km along the coast. The journey can take anything from 20 minutes to over two hours depending on the time of day you travel. Local knowledge is a must before embarking on the journey! However, the regular 10 minute ferry crossing is a far more relaxing way to visit probably the most famous location on the Riviera.

Less than an hours drive north from Sainte Maxime you will find the Gorge Du Verdon, an area renown for its outstanding natural beauty.

Within one hour to the East of Sainte Maxime you can visit the cities of Nice, Cannes, Monaco and Frejus. Within the same distance West, you will find Toulon and Marseilles.
         
         
By Air: Ryanair to Toulon Airport. Easyjet to Nice Airport. Car hire available at both. By Road: Paris via Lyon to Aix-en-Provence. Autoroute (A8) to Le Muy exit. Follow RD125 for 18km.
