You are in the Harz region here, famous for its many cultural attractions and beautiful mountainous landscapes. Culture lovers will have a good time in Quedlinburg and surroundings. The historical town centre with its 1200 half-timbered houses is included in the UNESCO list of world heritage sites. The various churches, palaces and castles in Quedlinburg and region are more than worth a visit. Walkers can make (guided) walks on one of the well signposted walking paths, and cyclists have many facilities too.
