This character farmhouse which has an attached stone barn as a games room and a new regulation fenced swimming pool, is tucked away down a lane on the edge of this pretty hamlet of stone cottages and is overlooked by a magnificent 16th Century church.A religious Pardon is held here in July.
The small town of Melrand is 2kms drive.On the outskirts of the town is a large man-made lake,suitable for swimming in, which has boat hire,a playground, a paddling pool, picnic tables.

The front garden is all gravel, enclosed by shrubs and the area infront of the barn is suitable for parking up to 3 cars.There is a covered well, stone staircase and an area for sitting out infront of the gite.

Local activities in and around Bubry, Brittany
There are many musical and dancing evenings throughtout the Summer in and around Melrand. Locmaria has a mass on the 24th July in the church to celebrate the saint.
Bastille day,13th/14th July is celebrated in Melrand with dancing and firework display. The archaeological farm is 2 miles away and very interesting with a garden /veg plot showing the old types of vegetables and flowers grown here. There is a farm area woth the old breeds of Breton animals as well as a couple of ancient dwellings and lots of stone remains. The village is a thousand years old.
There are miles of walks along the rambling trails up through the woods and along the rivers. You can walk along the towpath of the Blavet river from Pontivy to Lorient on the coast. Bikes are available for hire locally.
Pontivy-D2 to Bubry & Melrand for 16kms 1 km before Melrand turn left to Locmaria. In village follow the lane to the left of the church. Turn left after bins & gite is on right at the end of lane
