The beautiful, personally owned, second floor apartment has an enormous terrace on two sides, and direct south facing frontage onto the sea. A plant surrounded swimming pool is below with palms and thatched umbrellas available on the paved areas to shield residents from the strongest sun.
There are steps for easy access to the sea and the beach is nearby. A bakery, minimarket and British run Internet cafe are across the road at the 6th floor level above the sculptured cliff at the back, where you enter the flats (lift). A weekly maid service is provided.
Florymar is considered one of the most prestigious block of flats in Santa Ponsa and 25B is one of the most beautiful flats in the block and it is nearly 2000 sq ft overall.Although it is certainly not new, it is well loved.
The long hall opens into the large sitting room which has huge picture windows onto the front terrace and the sea. Decorated mainly in off-white, it has unique built in lacquered wall cabinets, table and desk and rust coloured sofa and chairs with lots of cushions. There is a television set receiving satellite as well as Spanish programmes.
The master double bedroom also opens onto the front terrace and has an en suite bathroom. Bedroom 2 has an enormous double bed and opens onto the side terrace, with sea views and Bedroom 3 has twin beds and also opens onto the side terrace. The first three bedrooms have large built in wardrobes with lots of hangers. Between these two bedrooms is the second bathroom. Bedroom 4, with 2 full length bunks, is behind the kitchen and has a shower room en suite. There is also a separate cloakroom with basin (ie 4 loos in all in the flat). The new kitchen has quite a large fridge, double sink and counter space, calor gas cooker, microwave, electric kettle, toaster and utensils.
The front terrace has pretty bougainvillaea, hibiscus and other plants, fed by an automatic watering system and an attractive big glass and wrought iron table with chairs. There are extra chairs and two chaises and also blinds which can be lowered when the sun is hot. From the 2nd floor it is like being aboard a ship. The view is not just out to sea but across the bay to buildings opposite and the cross where Jaime I landed in 1229 to capture the island from the Moors, now marking the entrance to the marina. Water skiers and boats go past. The sun sets, pink and rosy on the water out to sea. At night the lights flicker across the water and little boats, moored just below our flats in summer, bob at anchor while the water laps at the quay, lulling one to sleep.

Local activities in and around Santa Ponsa, Mallorca
Santa Ponsa is on Mallorca’s beautiful south-west coast about 15 minutes’ drive from Palma and about 25 minutes from the airport. Near to interesting places such as Puerto Andratx and Puerto Portals, Santa Ponsa has a championship golf course as well as two other golf courses, a yacht marina and quite a number of good restaurants as well as bars, discos and poseurs to watch.
There are buses to Palma and elsewhere and agents close by to book trips around the island. A huge file in the apartment gives details of a wide range of activities from Aquaparks, Dolphin Shows and boat trips to houses of interest, walks, good restaurants and night life.
