In the middle of the German Alps the wonderful Berchtesgaderland lies. It is one of the most popular inland holiday destinations of our east neighbours and it should be! The dazzling nature area is situated 25 km. south-west of Salzburg in a sort of bowl, shaped by the 1700 metres to 2700 metres high mountain tops. One of these tops, the Watzmann, is the second highest mountain of Germany. Approximately 12 km. west of Berchtesgaden lies the community Ramsau, in the Alp- and National Park Berchtesgaderland, at the foot of the Watzmann (2307 m.) and the Hochkalter (2608 m.) with the Blaueis-glacier. Ramsau lies in an imposing high mountains and is surrounded by the Königsee and the Hintersee with its fairy like forest. From Ramsau you can start directly a walk through the overwhelming nature. The location of mansion Am Forstamt, at only 500 m. from the village centre, on the sun side of the mountain, viewing the fascination nature, is excellent. The house (65 m˛) is situated on the ground floor and comfortable furnished and has direct access to the terrace with garden furniture and communal garden. If you love the overwhelming nature of the high mountains, then you are at the right spot here.
