In a super position right on the quayside of Brixham's historic inner harbour, a fishing port dating from the Middle Ages. Sailors' Haunt is a quaint cottage and has uninterrupted sea views across the harbour and towards Torbay from all its windows on the harbourside and especially its sunny galleried balcony.
This charming cottage, which sleeps up to five, is situated in King Street in a level position and easy walking distance to the shops, restaurants and public houses and just a few minutes walk from the marina, breakwater and beach. The property is just 4 metres away from the harbours edge includes bedlinen and towels and has its own private parking bay just a few minutes walk away.
Many of our clients return year after year so it is advisable to book early if you require a preferred date. The property is privately owned and managed and therefore we offer very competitive rates.
Brixham has many atmospheric Restaurants and Inns that are all within easy walking distance of Sailors' Haunt. The sandy beaches of Torbay are a short drive away while the coastline offers exhilarating walks around Berry Head with breath-taking views of the English Channel. Lots of opportunities for fishing, sailing, and windsurfing or take a trip northwards to the open expanse of Dartmoor or the ferry across to the picturesque old town of Dartmouth or Torquay.
Regular bus and coach services run to Paignton and Torquay. A 'Round Robin' day trip will take you by road and rail using the famous Torbay & Dartmouth steam railway and sea to Dartmouth, via Paignton and Totnes. During the season there is a regular boat service to Torquay from Brixham's quayside.

Known as 'The English Riviera' due to its clement micro climate, Torbay has many sandy beaches and coves and a coastline that offers many exhilating walks with views of the English Channel.
The is a wide selection of National Trust properties throughout the region. Dartmoor National Park is close at hand.
Places to visit like Dartmouth, accessible by the higher or lower ferry . Torquay, situated across the bay has a regular sea ferry service leaving Brixham harbour and takes about 20 minutes across the bay. It is a good shopping location with almost all major high street names, many pubs and restaurants, cinema, theatre and a busy nightlife of wine bars. Paignton has large sandy beaches and a pier, cinema, theatre and is famous for its zoo.
By Train to Paignton Rail Station go to the Bus Station opposite for Brixham. On leaving the bus short distance to cottage.
M5 to A380 to Torbay and Paignton.

Privately owned and managed without any extra booking charges.
A £100.00 cautionary refundable deposit is required with each booking for any damage or breakages within the cottage, the sum reserved shall not limit the client liability to the owner.
Eletricity is metered by a £1.00 coin meter to encourage clients responsibility and accountability as we work towards European Environmental Management Systems Standards. All other charges are included in our hire fee.
