Oxwich - Luxury sea front apartment with private balcony.
Apartment with 2 Bedrooms, Sleeps 4
This penthouse apartment is very conveniently located for either the quiet 'get-away' within tranquil surroundings or for the active, who like swimming, golfing, fishing, horse-riding, theme parks, etc.. It is also at the gateway to the famous Pembrokeshire Coastal Path walks and there are many local places of interest, such as the National Botanical Garden of Wales, the medieval township of Laugharne, Tenby, Saundersfoot and Merlin's ancient town of Carmarthen.
Pendine is a non-commercialised coastal village, which is famous for its 7 mile stretch of sandy beach, which has 'blue-flag' status. It was ideal for World land speed records and is only a few miles away from Dylan Thomas's birthplace of Laugharne. The village has the usual food store, pubs, gift shops, post office, take-aways and a regular bus service to Carmarthen and Tenby, via the coastal route - very handy if one doesn't want to drink and drive.
Internal steps with intercom security, lead up to the apartment from the private off-road parking area. The lounge/dining/fully equipped kitchen leads onto the private balcony with breathtaking views over Carmarthen Bay and the Gower Coastline beyond. The balcony has two bistro sets to accommodate four people either for relaxing in the sunshine or for alfresco refreshments.
The lounge area has a digital freeview TV/dvd/cd player and a separate digital radio. The kitchen area is well equipped with electric ceramic hob with cooker hood over, oven, microwave oven/grill, fridge, freezer, washine machine/dryer, dishwasher. There is also an iron and ironing board and airer and a fan if the going gets too hot. The bathroom has a bath with shower over, WC and wash basin and a heated towel rail. Bedroom 1 has a double bed while bedroom 2 has two single beds.
At the covered entrance to this select block of six apartments, there is also a lockable separate shower room and wash basin provided, which also has a heated towel rail installed. This has been provided for the use of all the residents in this block, in case they want to shower off sand and sea water, before entering their apartment, when coming from the beach.

Local activities in and around Pendine, South & West Wales
In 1924 Malcolm Campbell set a world land speed record of 146.6mph on Pendine sands and Parry-Thomas tried to beat this record in 'Babs' but at 180mph, the car rolled over and he was killed. 'Babs' is now housed in the Museum of Speed at Pendine. This particular region of Wales has a lot to offer the discerning tourist. Outstanding scenery and walks around the coastline. A wealth of history, including castles, museums, ancient churches and cathedral and towns. A host of beaches and breath-taking panoramic views. Activity centres, parks, including a large theme park (Oakwood), golf courses and plenty of places to take boat trips from, to see the off-shore islands and wild life.
Pendine is located in South West Wales. Travel west along the M4 to junction 49 and then take the A48 to Carmarthen and then the A40 to St Clears. At St Clears take the A4006 to Pendine.
