Hafod Grove House is a gracious period gentleman's residence in a lovely setting within the beautiful Pembrokeshire National Park. Within walking distance (1.5mls) of the Pembrokeshire coastal path and charming Ceibwr Bay. The house is very spacious and comfortably accommodates up to 12 people with Hafod Villa sleeps 18. Ideal for Family reunions or large groups.
This part of the Park offers the most wonderful scenery; lovely, sandy local beaches with rock pools and easy vehicular access. There are frequent sitings of seals, dolphins, basking sharks and even whales and turtles at times. The rare red kite is seen frequently flying above the grounds and the abundance of wildlife both flora and fauna makes this locality a nature-lovers delight.
Situated between the The quaint Market Town of Cardigan and the pretty village of Newport it makes an ideal touring centre to explore not only Pembrokeshire but the Cardigan Bay Coastline as well as the inland county of Carmarthenshire.

Hafod Grove House is lovely, period mansion house with spacious accommodation for up 12 people. There are with seaviews from the front bedrooms and garden. The property has a large farmhouse kitchen with an aga and a table seating 12 people. It is also well equipped with a gas cooker, dishwasher etc. There are two receptions both double aspect, one leading to delightful sun trap patio which is ideal for dining alfresco and barbeques. There is a downstairs double bedroom suite with a shower room opposite which makes it ideal for the elderly or semi-ambient.
The spacious arched hall leads up to the first floor where there is a master bedroom with a luxury en-suite with double-ended, antique bath, power shower etc. A kingsize bedroom with 6' Victorian bath, power shower, etc. Two twin bedded rooms with charming outlooks' over the garden. At the top of the servants stairs (Bring your Butler!) is a cute childrens buck bedroom over-looking woodland. There are cots and highchairs available on request. The house stands in over an acre of lovely, private gardens with lovely views, childrens swings, Barbeque / Patio area etc.
Hafod Grove is centuries old, the kitchen has such thick walls and was the original croft area in total more or less. Greatly enlarged in the Georgian style either during in late 18th or early 19th century. It was then 'modernised' in more or less it's current form by one of the Colby family who owned large tracts of land in the area, Colby Gardens South of the County are open to the public. Hafod Grove is in a wonderful setting a marvellous base for families and groups to explore or just relax in the garden and soak up the ethos of this lovely old place. Children just love playing hide and seek in the rambling grounds and mysterious house.

Dining:
There is a very large table seating 12 people in the large farmhouse kitchen. It is a great room with a lovely old aga as well as a conventional gas cooker, dishwasher etc. Great for dining together

Terrestrial TV, Satellite TV, Video, DVD, Radio, CD System, Board Games. There is Sky TV and internet access as well as 4 TVs, dvds and portable cd player, radio.
Outside:
Garden, BBQ, Parking. There are delightful, private grounds, with well over an acre of mainly lawn with an interesting woodland area. There are swings for the children and a patio for barbeques and alfresco dining.

Children Welcome, Not Suitable For Wheelchairs, Suitable For Elderly, Sorry - No Pets Allowed, Sorry - No Smokers.
Sorry but smokers are excommunicated to the garden. The downstairs bedroom (plus own tv and couch) with shower room opposite make it very comfortable for the elderly with no stairs to manage.
Local activities in and around Cardigan, South & West Wales
Locally there are numerous outdoor activities to enjoy including walking or riding over the Preselli Hills, cycling along Gwaun Valley, own a pony day at Yet Wen, Brynberian, golf at Newport Golf Club, sailing at Newport as well as freshwater trout and salmon and sea fishing.
For those interested in the arts there is a theatre, cinema, open air theatre productions, art galleries and craft workshop trails all within a short car ride.
Local historical places of interest include Pentre Ifan pre-historic burial chamber, St Dogmaels Abbey, Kilgerran Castle, and Castel Henllys a pre-historic village provide fascinating excursions very nearby.
Google SA43 3BN which takes you to the vicarage and cottages 300 metres down the lane on the left is the entrance to the farm and the second entrance is the access drive to the House.
