Kalathos is a small village and popular with returning visitors. The village has all local amenities including bars, tavernas, shops, bakery, butcher and pharmacy and is on the island's main bus route.
Lindos is just a 5 minute drive away. Lindos is the most photographed village in the whole of Greece.
With its ancient white washed houses clinging to the hillside and the narrow cobbled streets impassable by cars, Lindos has retained much of its character over thousands of years. Overlooked by the magnificent Acropolis, perched high on the hilltop, Lindos is a very popular destination for both holiday makers and day-trippers, who visit the village to shop in the market. It is like stepping back in time to the years of St John and his Knights.
