Glenfern, set within three quarters of an acre of private land in the heart of the Cairngorms, is a Victorian Scottish villa which has recently been extended and modernised to create a luxurious holiday home. The house itself is finished to the highest standard, offering you a boutique experience sleeping up to 12 guests in a beautiful, quiet rural setting. There is something here for everyone, and everything you could possibly need is catered for.

The interior space offers you a spacious fully equipped kitchen opening out into a lovely, sunny breakfast conservatory. The rest of the downstairs public rooms are a succession of light, open spaces with open fires for the winter months. Glenfern also offers a conservatory and games room with doors leading on to the patio and garden. The study is the perfect retreat for guests wanting a quiet spot to curl up with a good book or to catch up on business matters on the computer provided alongside broadband access.
Glenfern features six en-suite bedrooms, three are luxurious king-size bedrooms, all with roll-top baths and separate showers, one king-size bedroom with bath/shower, and two twin bedrooms - all with bathroom toiletries and towelling robes. All bedrooms are individually styled with sumptious fabrics and furnishings, and are equipped with flat screen TV with Sky TV, DVD player and Bose music system - your personal haven to unwind in.
Outside the house also provides plenty of outdoor space for children and adults alike. The garden is fully equipped with a barbeque, children's play area, trampoline and hot tub! Another option for a spot of relaxation is to indulge yourself in the sauna.
Glenfern is booked as a whole so you will enjoy total privacy with your family and friends. The house is ideally situated in the village of Kingussie (pronounced Kin-oosie), which lies in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park. Kingussie is the capital of Badenoch, the local area of the Highlands. The village is conveniently located within a 45 minute drive south of Inverness, just off the A9, and approximately 2.5 hours north of Edinburgh / Glasgow. Glenfern is easy to access from all major cities, and there are numerous daily flights and trains to Inverness.

RSPB reserve at Insh Marshes and Ospreys at Loch Insh and Loch Garten for keen ornithologists. Highland Wildlife Park just 10 minutes. drive. Aviemore Mountain Resort 12 miles north. Loch Ness - 45 miles. Fishing and shooting can all be arranged.
