101 Middle Street - 18th Century fisherman's Cottage
Cottage with 1 Bedroom, Sleeps 4, Garden
This 18th Century two bedroom Cottage has a light contemporary feel. Set in quiet, idyllic, winding street 100 meters walk from the beach, restaurants, shops, cafes, cinema and supermarket, 101 Middle Street has all the charm of the seaside retreat with all the modern comforts of home set in a famous conservation area.
This fisherman’s cottage built in 1730 has been completely sympathetically modernized in the last six months. All flooring, furniture, fixtures and fittings are new without detracting from the character and feel.
The main reception area is a double aspect room which brings in natural light throughout the day. The warm, neutral décor is classic yet contemporary, perfect for relaxing and dining.
Leading through from the main reception room is a fully equipped kitchen with gas cooker, deep set farmhouse sink and solid wood drainer, fridge freezer, microwave, coffee maker, cooking and dining utensils. There is a brand new automatic washing machine and separate dryer located in a purpose-built shed in the garden.
Behind the kitchen is a separate bathroom containing a roll top bath and wash hand basin and a self contained w.c.
On the first floor is the master bedroom (again double aspect for maximum light and air). Central to the room stands a white iron cast double bed. There is a free standing wardrobe, bedside table and lamp and quaint window seat overlooking the garden. This room retains plenty of character with slightly lower ceiling height giving a cosy and restful ambience.
The enclosed courtyard style walled garden is quiet and private; perfect for sitting out with a glass of wine during the day or eating al fresco by night.
