This lovely newly restored villa is situated in a small agricultural village and has fantastic views over the countryside and the mountains in one of the most stunningly beautiful areas of Tuscany. There is a large private pool in the enclosed garden, and a pleasant patio area for al fresco eating. A good family run restaurant is coveniently within walking distance and there are several others nearby.

The house has been lovingly restored keeping the original beamed ceilings and rich chestnut flooring.
Traditional furnishing is used throughout with some interesting artwork adding to the apmosphere.
Downstairs, there is a living room with the original fireplace, TV/DVD, CD stereo and internet access. In the kitchen there is a dining table for 6 people, hob, dishwasher, washing machine and fridge/freezer.
Upstairs, there are 3 comfortable bedrooms, one double, one twin/double and a single. There are two shower rooms conveniently places near the bedrooms.
Outside, the enclosed courtyard has a fine chestnut gate which can be safely locked. Next to the patio there is an outside kitchen area, with a woodburning pizza oven and BBQ. There is a large table with room for 8 people, perfect for a pizza night or long lunch. A few yards away, also safely enclosed, there is a 12x5 metre pool with a stepped area at the side.
This is an interesting villa of high quality in a wonderful part of Tuscany.

Local activities in and around Lucca, Tuscany
Fine restaurants nearby. Garfagnana is famous in Tuscany for its great value food, cooked in a simple ,rustic style using the best local, organic ingredients. A full lunch with wine and coffee costs 9/10 euros, and in the evenings main courses cost typically between 7-10 euros.
In the village it is possible to hire the tennis court. The local market town of Castelnuovo is 5 miles away. The Garfagnana has been declared as a National Park in recognition of its unusual beauty. It has long been known as the best walking area in Tuscany.
There are also many interesting villages to explore in the area. We give local info and recommendations, and have connections with a local Outdoor Activities Company who offer activities such as mountaineering, canyoning, and mountain biking.
From Lucca to Castelnuovo di Garfagnana, then on to Villa Collemandina. We can arrange for a local English speaking mini-bus taxi service who will do airport pick-ups as well as local runs.
