  Javea is a town of great beauty, magical landscapes, a haven of peace and serenity. Here, nature has been so generous and splendid that it is difficult to find such an ideal location. The sea is pure blue, clean and revealing. The mountain, washed by the Mediterranean sea, offers lush vegetation and many local species of flora and fauna.

There are many beautiful walks throughout the area. Situated at the far point of land which looks eastward over the Mediterranean Sea, Javea is both a working port and a tourist haven, where people from all over Northern Europe come both to live permanently and also to spend a few weeks of each year, soaking up the unique atmosphere and culture that is Javea. With the Montgo 'Elephant' mountain to the west and the Mediterranean Sea to the east, Javea comprises three distinct areas - the Casco Urbano (urban centre), the Port area and the Arenal beach.

Leisure Activities: The tourist office offers free guided walks of the area in English and Spanish during the summer. Also in summer, pleasure boats sail between Cabo San Antonio and Denia up to 3 times a day. Accompanied horse rides and lessons are available at the Centro Hipico Javea. There are a number of activities for children in the Benidorm area which include Mundomar Marine Park, Aqualandia Water Park and Terra Mitica 'historical' theme park. El Vergel safari park is 20 minutes north (near Denia) and also in the area are a number of go-karting tracks. Valencia City is well worth a visit for the Central Market,and the 'Oceanografic (spectacular aquarium) that forms part of the City of Arts and Sciences.

Local activities in and around Javea, Costa Blanca - Alicante
 
         
Javea Old Town retains many elements of its Medieval past including narrow winding streets, small squares and the 15th century church of San Bartholomew in Plaza de la Iglesia. Also of interest is the Archaeological and Ethnographic Museum in Calle Primicies s/n. The Port is a working port providing fresh fish to the area and hosts a wide variety of shops and cafes. The Arenal beach is a sandy beach which is raked at the end of each day. On the esplanade which adjoins the beach, a variety of bars and restaurants can be found and, during the summer evenings, there are numerous stalls selling handicrafts and jewellery and also musicians and portrait artists.

Golfing Activities: Within 15 minutes drive of the villa is Javea Golf Club situated between Moraira and Javea and open all year round. The course is a 9 hole, par 72 and 3,035 metres. The course is easy to play and relatively flat. Other facilities include: driving range, putting green, heated swimming pool, club bar and restaurant.

The Olazabal designed La Sella Golf Course is 20 minutes drive inland near the village of Jesus Pobre. The course has 18 holes, par 72 and is 6,029 metres. The course, although flat has many trees and water obstacles and presents a very good challenge. Facilities include: driving range, putting green, motorised trolleys, club bar, lounge bar, restaurant and swimming pool. Both Javea and La Sella clubs have tennis and squash courts. Within a half hour drive north in Oliva is Oliva Nova Golf Club, designed by Seve Ballesteros. and within 40 minutes are the two championship courses of Real de Faula at Benidorm. Tee times can be booked upon request.
