Stand on a hilltop with uninterrupted breathtaking views of the Dordogne valley, La Redonde is an old Perigorian house with lovely stone walls and the distinctive steep roof that is typical of the region. It lies in an extensive and secluded garden shaded by mature trees, near the famous village of Beynac, close to the Dordogne and Vezere rivers, about 15 kms from the market town of Sarlat. The village is about 2 miles away and has all essential shops and facilities.
La Redonde comprises three main stone buildings offering ideal accommodation for 8 up to 10 guests. This allows a large family of group of friends to holiday together while each has their own living space. There is alos a separated bedroom with a shower unit and a separated entrance, ideal if your baby-sitter joins you during the holidays.
The main house’s entrance leads into a spacious open plan living room, comfortably furnished and tastefully decorated with sofa and armchairs and a dining room area. The living room has retained many of the original features with exposed stone and beams, original wooden floor and a large opened fireplace. French window from the living leeds into a good size fitted kitchen, well equipped with hob, electric oven, microwave, fridge, dishwasher. The range of crockery, glass, cutlery and cooking utensils is very generous. Also on ground floor is a small bathroom with bath and sink and separated toilets.
Upstairs, three bedrooms, a large double with valley view, and two smallest twins share a bathroom with a shower and toilets. Cot and highchair are available on request. The laundry room, with washing machine, dryer and a small freezer is set in a adjacent stone building. Off the upper courtyard is an attractively decorated twin bedroom incorporating an original stone sink, separate from the main part of the house. It has an en-suite shower and wc.
Few more stone steps lead to the “maison au toit de lauze” which consists of a very large open plan living, with exposed stone and beams and a huge original open fireplace. It is used as a games room for kids or as a TV salon. Also it offers a large double bed which can accommodate another two guests. From its terrace, you have breathtaking views of the Dordogne valley.
Outside the large swimming pool (12x6m) with its paved surround takes also full advantage of the view. t is fenced and have a electric cover to keep it warm. The mature garden also enjoys the country view and offers the best of both worlds - a shady terrace to relax and dine with areas in full sunshine.

La Redonde is an ideal spot from which to explore the pretty riverside villages such as Beynac with its magnificent fortress Château and La Roque Gageac, seemingly impossibly built into the side of a cliff. The medieval Sarlat, the bastides of Domme and Limeuil, where the Dordogne River and Vezere river met, Les Eyzies and the Vezere valley, are all within a 15miles from the house. 2 miles away is the picturesque town of St Cyprien, which has a colourful market every Sunday, supermarket, shops and restaurants. Golf courses (18 and 9 holes), tennis, canoying, tennis, hot air ballon... are leisure activities available nearby.

Rental Notes: Only the main house can be let to a low price in low and middle seasons - Please contact us.
The price of the rental includes the costs of Electricity, Hot Water and Cooking Gas. The heating is charged at an extra costs when required (50€ for main house and 75€ for main and guests houses). Bed Linen and Towels are not included, but can be hired locally - (12 Euros per bed and 6 Euros for 2 towels.
A final day cleaning service can also be hired for a 130€ (100€ for the main house only). Please indicate if you wish to hire when booking.
Bookings are from sat to sat from June to September. Arrival time is 4 - 7 p.m. and departure time is 10 a.m. on the saturday of leaving. Changeover day is flexible in low and middle seasons.
A deposit of 600Euros against any breakages and damage is required on arrival. This deposit will be refunded at the end of your stay if the house has been left in good conditions.
