The cottage is at the end of a terrace of 12 cottages and apartments forming part of an L- shaped development which was designed by a French architect and built by a Swiss company in 1982. It nestles in a pine forest in the centre of the 18 hole golf course which is part of the Golf d’Ardilouse.
Lacanau-Ocean with wonderful sandy beaches and surf is 30 miles NW of Bordeaux and is on the international surf circuit. It is an ideal family holiday destination. Close to the wine region of the Medoc with its famous chateaux, this area provides the ideal centre for those who want a sporty holiday, for those who want to visit the wine region, or for those who just want to unwind and relax in this healthy environment.
Lacanau Lake is 5 minutes drive from the cottages. There is a sandy area where children can play and you can picnic. A shallow area of the lake is roped off, so that young children can swim in safety. This area is supervised by lifeguards during the day.
In the cottage there are 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, 1 shower room, a fully fitted kitchen, an open-plan lounge/dining area, and a mezzanine area upstairs which provides additional sleeping and seating accommodation. The downstairs bedroom has twin beds. There is a cupboard with hanging space and a small chest of drawers. There is a shower room with shower, washbasin and toilet.
The kitchen is open-plan and very well equipped with oven, hob, dishwasher, fridge, freezer and automatic washing machine. There is a lounge/dining area with double sofa bed, 2 armchairs, dining table and cable TV. French windows open from the lounge area onto the patio where there is an oval table for eating outside.
The main bedroom has a double bed. The room is well furnished with cupboard, shelf and drawer space. If you have a baby, there is room for a cot in this bedroom as well. On the mezzanine there are three single beds. There is ample cupboard and shelf space on this mezzanine level. The upstairs bathroom consists of a bath plus shower unit, toilet and a washbasin.
This is a cottage right in the centre of a golf course, providing a base for your holiday. The house is compact, but well equipped and the rooms and garden are small, as you would expect to find in a cottage-style house.

Just 1.5 miles from the sea, and situated right in the centre of the Golf d’Ardilouse - a golf course which encompasses both an 18 and a 9 hole course. Set in a pine forest, the combination of the sea air and the fresh smell of the pine make this a very healthy and relaxing environment.
The cottages are about 2 minutes walk from the Club House and also the first tee and so provides an ideal location for the keen golfer. About a mile from the house there is an excellent tennis and squash complex and a splendid Equestrian Centre.
Lacanau Océan is famous for its surf and it hosts the French Pro in August which attracts surfers from around the world. There is a surf club which teaches all the sports related to the surf and everyone has a lot of fun in the waves. The beautiful sandy beaches, stretching as far as the eye can see, are a perfect venue for playing beach games, kite flying, sunbathing, watching surfers or just watching the world go by. Out of season, the area is calm and you have the beaches to yourself.
Lakes, which are also close at hand, provide the perfect location for windsurfing and sailing and the whole area abounds with cycle tracks meandering through the pine forest. Bicycles can be hired by the day or by the week. A deposit of £100 is usually required.
The area offers sports taster sessions For Children and Teenagers at a nominal cost during July and August.

Rental Notes: £200 non-refundable deposit is required on booking the accommodation. The balance will be required 8 weeks before the date of departure together with a £200 deposit which is held against accidental damage. Please take out insurance to cover the cost of the holiday in the event you are unable to go at the last minute.
Once the caretaker is satisfied that the house and contents have been left in good condition, the £200 deposit will be repaid. Should there be any breakages or damage, the amount to put this right will be deducted and the balance repaid.
Prices are based on a minimum 2 week stay. These prices include the cost of electricity, except in the low season. Changeover day is Saturday. The house will be ready by 4pm on the day of your arrival. Please vacate the house by 10am on your day of departure. Linen hire: £12 per person per week + £20 for delivery & collection.
