The perfect rural holiday retreat, Yaxley Hall's Home Farm, at Brick Kiln Farm near Hemingstone, has recently been entirely refurbished and brought up to luxury contemporary standards in a stunning style best described as "rural chic".
Set in a walled garden at the centre of 37 acres of its own private countryside, our beautiful 16th century Suffolk farmhouse provides idyllic countryside holiday, or short break, accommodation for up to 10 guests in the heart of East Anglia.
We are delighted to offer the opportunity of holiday and short break accommodation in our beautiful 16th century Suffolk farmhouse. Set in a walled garden, in the centre of 37 acres of its own private meadowland, our farmhouse can accommodate up to eight guests in its four double bedrooms, a further two guests can be accommodated on quality sofa beds if required.
There are two reception rooms, a separate dining room, two bathrooms and an en-suite shower room. Pure cotton linen, goose/duck down pillows and quilts, generously sized towels, flat screen digital TV, and the total quiet and perfect fresh air of the Suffolk countryside will ensure a very relaxing stay.
Everything you require is provided should you decide to self-cater and make the most of the Rayburn range cooker in the brand new handcrafted farmhouse kitchen. The kitchen has been fitted with bespoke handmade units and double doors from here lead out on to timber decking and the back garden.
Herds of deer, groups of pheasants and our resident friendly goose are a regular sight!

Yaxley Hall Home Farm is located in an extremely beautiful part of Suffolk, nestled in rolling countryside directly behind the Shrubland Park Estate.
The Suffolk Heritage Coast (an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty) is easily reached from the farm, with the key attractions of historic Woodbridge and the magnificent Anglo-Saxon Royal burial ground of Sutton Hoo less than 10 miles away. Framlingham Castle, Snape Maltings (the location of Benjamin Britten’s Aldeburgh Festival and other year round cultural events), and the beautiful seaside town of Southwold are also a short drive.
More immediately on the farm’s doorstep, the 6 mile signposted Shrubland Estate walk actually crosses our land, meaning that you can enjoy one of Suffolk’s best walks leaving your car behind. Other footpaths connect you directly to the villages of Hemingstone and Coddenham. The latter includes a welcoming country pub and an excellent traditional village store / post office with local quality produce on sale.
Suffolk’s county town of Ipswich is just over 6 miles away, from which at least twice hourly regular train services connect directly with London Liverpool Street Station (70 minutes). Ipswich has been undergoing a massive cultural and architectural regeneration in recent years with its stylish waterfront development and yacht marina. Genteel Bury St Edmunds is approximately 20 miles from the farm on the A14, and the university city of Cambridge is less than 40 miles away. Suffolk’s Constable Country, and the beautiful towns of Lavenham, Clare and Long Melford are easily reached from the farm, while trains from Ipswich also travel twice hourly to the fine city of Norwich, for centuries England’s second town (less than 40 minutes).
