Approached via a sweeping drive across the wonderful gardens and nestling beside the clear natural spring fed ponds which are home to moorhens, coots and ducks, the Twitchers has ample parking with level access via double doors into the accommodation.
Straight ahead is a twin bedroom with exposed beams and pleasureable views over pond and gardens. This room is designed for wheelchair users with high quality Maples 3ft single beds, cupboard with clothes hanging rail, chest of drawers, bedside tables and lamps - this is where you will see the hop-pickers names - recording dates from more than one hundred years ago, plus en-suite shower room for both disabled and able-bodied guests with non-slip flooring, central shower, washbasin, WC and shaver points.
Off the hallway is the well presented open plan living room with kitchen area to one side offering a range of modern kitchen units, double Franke stainless steel sink, integral automatic washing machine/drier, dishwasher, microwave, gas hob, electric oven, fridge/freezer plus a solid wood extending table with chairs to accommodate all guests.
Upstairs, on the first floor is a tasteful lounge/bed - sitting room offering an attractive period Walnut double bed, matching wardrobe, chest of drawers, bedside tables with lamps; a good quality sofabed plus colour TV - an ideal additional retreat for guests - offering flexible accommodation. The en-suite bathroom has a bath with hand shower over, WC, washbasin and shaverpoint.
Accessed by a second short staircase from the landing is a superb large family bedroom with the exposed beams and original section of the roundel - excellent views from here of the orchard and nut copse. Velux windows provide additional light in this lovely room which has a brass double bed, a sofa bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers and bedside table with chairs. A single bed can also be offered for use in this bedroom @ £25 per week. En-suite shower room, washbasin, WC.
