The design of the house is open-plan. The lounge has ininterrupted sea-views, two three-seater settees, satellite TV, DVD player and a mini-system with CD player, tape player and tuner. Sliding doors give access to the back patio. There is a separate dining room with a table and four chairs. The galley-style kitchen has a four-ring ceramic hob, full oven, microwave cooker, 5' fridge (with a freezing compartment), dishwasher, washing machine, iron and ironing board, electric blender, toaster, electric kettle and electric coffee maker.
One bedroom, with amazing sea-views, has a double bed, wardrobe and dressing table. The attractive and spacious (separate) bathroom has a walk-in shower, toilet, bidet and hand washbasin. The second bedroom, with en-suite bathroom, has twin beds and fitted wardrobes. The bathroom has a walk-in shower, toilet, bidet and hand washbasin.
The rectangular, sheltered swimming pool, with steps for easy access, is at the front of the house and measures approximately 4.9 metres (16') by 2.4 metres (7' 10") and has a single depth of 1.2 metres (nearly 4'). Here also is an attractive Canarian-style garden and built-in barbecue with a table and four chairs. Sunloungers are also provided.
At the back of the house there is a large, Canarian-style garden and a spacious patio, both of which overlook the sea. This is a good place to admire the lovely sea-views, sunbathe or eat al fresco.

Not specially adapted for wheelchair use but the house is single storey and the plot on which it stands is level.
Local activities in and around Corralejo, Fuerteventura
Corralejo, once a fishing village, has seen a tremendous amount of development in the last few years and is now the island's main resort with a large selection of shops, bars and restaurants.
In spite of its growth, it has managed to retain a village atmosphere with a main street colourful with flowers, an attractive town square and a largely traffic-free area, bordering the sea, where you can have a drink or a meal and admire the views across the bay.
There is no shortage of places to eat including Spanish, Mexican, Italian, Chinese and Indian restaurants. Some offer typical Canarian dishes, often prepared with fish caught that day. Night life is generally low-key with four discos, a selection of bars as well as free entertainment in the main square on most evenings (including flamenco, Canarian dancing and live music).
Activities (other than sunbathing and swimming!) include windsurfing, scuba diving (there are schools and hire centres in town) and game fishing. Jet-skiing is popular and mountain bikes are also available for hire. A recently opened water park is likely to become a major attraction for young and old alike.
Corralejo has two sandy beaches, the Galera beach and a smaller one near the town pier. A little more than a mile-and-a-half to the south are the "Grandes Playas", nearly seven miles of uninterrupted, fine, white sand and spectacular sand-dunes - beaches just don't get any better than this! These are within easy walking distance of Casa Tortuga. Taxis are readily available and there is a bus station in Corralejo with regular services to other parts of the island.
