This detached 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom house, (a former gendarmerie) has been tastefully renovated providing elegant and comfortable holiday accommodation, for 4 plus 2 persons. This house is situated in the grounds of a large traditional villa. The owners of the villa will respect your privacy (they are often away for the entire summer), but when at home may occasionally use the pool.
The accommodation is all arranged on ground level. Enter the property into the living room with 2 comfortable sofas (one of which is a sofa bed), Satellite TV and quality furniture and furnishings. This airy room boasts 3 sets of double doors all leading outside into the grounds. The living room leads through to a compact kitchen with small oven, 3 ring hob, microwave, fridge and slim line dishwasher. (The washing machine is housed in the boiler room).
The living room also leads to a double bedroom with double doors leading to romantic private terrace. This room has an ensuite shower room. Also leading from the living room is the twin bedroom, also with doors leading to the grounds, and the second shower room (not en suite). The property is well furnished with quality fabrics and antique furniture.
Outside: 3 terraces – one leading from master bedroom, one leading from living area, and covered with vines for comfortable outdoor dining, and also roof terrace (reached from outside) covering entire roof of house with sunbathing facilities and panoramic views. Shared extensive mature grounds with large swimming pool and parking.
Externally, the house boasts a private, romantic seating area leading from bedroom one, a further vine covered eating area to the front of the house, with views over vineyards to the city of Lucca and a roof terrace with spectacular views over open countryside, with the City of Lucca in the distance, and the hills beyond….
The extensive grounds host a beautiful large stone T shaped swimming pool. The long side of the pool is 7M x 11M, and has a depth ranging from 90cm to 3 , whereas the short side is 3M long and with a constant depth of 90 cm. The wonderful sunbathing area is furnished with quality sunbeds, and is surrounded by mature shrubs – a real sense of luxury pervades this garden, which is planted with cypress trees, lemon trees, and many beautiful flowers!

Ideally located, for a peaceful holiday, in a tranquil setting, yet within less than a 15 minute drive from the Walled Mediaeval City of Lucca.
Lucca is famous for its intact walls which fully surround the old city – these vast structures are so wide, there are little parks located on the top, with plenty of places for relaxing, and with vehicles banned, it is the perfect place to rent a bicycle and cycle around admiring the views both inside and out….
The windy streets are full of beautiful architecture, including the famous Ampitheatre, bars, restaurants, regular market and designer shopping.
Closer to home and within 2 kms are shops, supermarket, tennis courts and some restaurants. Drive time from Pisa is around 40 minutes, The Coast is only 35 minutes away, Florence is accessible in say 45 mins, Pistoia 25 mins and Siena around 90 minutes. Perfect!
