The property is located in Kalkan, which is on Turkey’s south west Mediterranean coastline known as the “Lycian Turquoise Coast”. Positioned above the village of Kalkan, Villa Manzara is close enough to walk downhill into town. Set over 3 floors, our air-conditioned house sleeps 8 to 10. Fully furnished to a very high standard with linen supplied (except beach/pool towels) it has every modern convenience for the discerning self catering holiday maker whether you are a family, friends or just a couple, our beautiful villa is a perfect holiday retreat for you!

Because of the elevated position, the staircase and unmade roads leading to the house, it is not ideal for the elderly of infirmed.
Local activities in and around Kalkan, Turquoise Coast/Lycia
There are 2 sandy beaches in the immediate vicinity of Kalkan. Kaputas being the first is only 6km drive away east and found at the bottom of a ravine down approx. 100 steps but with the most beautiful turquoise sea. There are no facilities at Kaputas so you must take your own picnic and parasol.
The village of Kekova (Home of the Sun) is an entire area of picturesque islands, numerous bays and ancient sites. A“sunken city” which can be seen from a boat. Patara is in a National Park with an abundance of interesting ruins, and was voted one of the world’s best beaches by The Times readers. With 22kms of pure white sand, which stretches as far as the eye can see, it is ideal for a day away from the holiday crowds. There is only one restaurant, toilets and parasol hire if required.
Travelling further a field and all easily accessible from Kalkan, there is the ancient site of Xanthos (Kinik) the single most important administrative city in the Lycian region.
Letoon is Lycia’s biggest religious centre. Excavations have indicated that the city was founded in the 8th Century BC. The municipal is scattered but the ruins of a Hellenistic amphitheatre are still visible.
Tlos, is Lycia’s longest inhabited city and founded by people from nearby Xanthos in the 5thC BC. The rocky hillsides are covered with rock tombs.
Saklikent Canyon is a narrow gorge about 300m high and 18kms. long and is accessed by a suspended wooden catwalk. Once you have crossed the ice-cold water of the Xanthos River you can begin the journey uphill into the gorge. After a great excursion there is a wealth of restaurants serving freshly cooked trout from local hatcheries and regional delicacies to choose from for lunch.
Canoeing and white-water rafting is also available on the Xanthos River. Scuba diving in the bays around Kalkan offers some of the best diving in the Mediterranean.
Transfer time by road from Dalaman, our nearest airport, is approximately 1½ hours. A new tunnel has been built through the mountains which has cut travelling time down considerably.

Rental Notes: Holiday dates that span two price brackets (e.g. End of August and first week of Sept.) the rental will be calculated on a daily basis.
A 25% deposit is required to secure a reservation with the balance due 8 weeks prior to departure.
We also ask for a Damage Deposit of £250 which will be held for the duration of your stay and returned in full within 2 weeks of your return home provided there has not been any major damage to the villa or its contents during your stay.
Changeover day is usually a Monday – Monday or Friday – Friday, however as more flights become available some flexibility can be allowed subject to availability.
