This is a grand old house which has been renovated to a high standard with real wood burning stoves. There are sea views to the front and the beach is just a short stroll away. There is also a junior bed, suitable for a toddler and a travel cot.
There is masses of living and entertaining space in this house. The lounge and kitchen both have multi fuel stoves. The sun rises at the rear of the house so the kitchen is filled with light in the morning and the back garden is a sun trap. The sun sets in front of the house so the front garden is the place for sun-downers!
The bedrooms are all individual. The master (pictured) which is en-suite, has a new, very comfortable 6ft wrought iron bed, with space to put the junior bed +/or travel cot.
The next largest is to the back of the house (top 2/3 of window in back garden pic) with views over the garden and trees beyond. This room can be made up as another 6ft double plus I single or 3 singles. There is even enough space in there for a travel cot or junior bed.
The 2 smaller bedrooms are interconnecting to the front. The twin (which has a very bright sky window) leads through to a room the owners use as a study, which has a double futon. This is the bay window above the front door in the pic and has a great sea view.
Of the 5 bedrooms one is in the loft with the best sea views of the whole house. Although it is up a proper staircase there is not a great deal of headroom (you can stand up in the middle of the room!) so the beds are all low futons - you can choose between the double or 2 singles - but I would say this room is most suited to the young or agile in the party.

2 Double Bedrooms, 1 Twin Bedroom, 2 Family Bedrooms. The beds are flexible, the back bedroom can be a treble or a double + 1. 2 of the bedrooms are inter-connecting - the twin leads to a double futon. The loft has low beds - a double futon + 3 singles.

1 Bathroom, 1 Shower, 1 Separate WC. The bathroom and en-suite are finnished to a very high standard. The bathroom (inc shower) has a large hand-made mosiac bath, perfect for the largest of guests to have a good soak + lots of hot water.
Kitchen:
Cooker, Hob, Microwave, Fridge, Freezer, Dishwasher, Washing Machine, Iron. The hob is gas and the cooker electric. The kitchen is well stocked with equipment, cook books and gadgets (food processor, juicer, grill) There are enough pots pans and plates to cater for everyone
General:
Real Fire, Central Heating, House Linen, Towels Provided, Internet Access. Hairdryer. Let me know if you have any special requirements. (Sainsbury's and Tesco deliver to the door). The majority of the downstairs has the original parquet flooring so no high heels please!
Dining:
Seating for 10. Inside and out. There is enough space around the kitchen table for 7 and there is a tressle table in the dining hall which seats 10. There is enough teak dining furniture in the garden to seat 8-10.
Entertainment:
Terrestrial TV, Satellite TV, Video, DVD, Radio, CD System, Board Games. Playstation 2, there are also lost of children's videos and games available for a rainy day.
Outside:
Garden, BBQ, Parking, Garden Furniture. There is an open garden to the front which has parking for 2 cars and a smaller enclosed garden to the rear which has a patio area ideal for BBQing. There is one further off road parking space here.

This house is particuarly suitable for large families or anyone taking part in or wanting to enjoy the various sailing regattas around Cowes. Sorry, no stag or hen parties please.
Local activities in and around Cowes, South
The Woodvale Hotel is at the bottom of the road and offers good food and often has live music on in the evenings. There is also the Watersedge Cafe at the beach which serves great food all day. On Woodvale Road you can catch the bus into Cowes (sail bus during cowes week) and beyond. If you are feeling energenic you could walk into Cowes along the front in about 20 min.
In the summer there is always something going on on the Isle of Wight. Of course there are sailing regattas, but there is also music and garlic festivals, Walk the Wight, power boat weekends and masses of things to keep the kids happy - whatever the weather. It's a great place to cycle too.
