Devon Manor House set in 40 acres of farmland in an area of outstanding natural beauty and only 15 mins from the sea and the Jurassic Coast.
The manor house is a Grade II* listed building, originating from probably the 15th Century, with many original features still in place. It has recently been refurbished with new bathrooms and a new kitchen.
The house, nestling against a hill in an ancient valley is set in 1/2 acre of formal gardens but guests also have access to its surrounding farmland (the land is farmed by a local farmer who you may see around tending to his sheep or cattle). In the vicinity are two cottages which form part of the estate: one lived in by our caretakers, the other by their granddaughter. There is also a barn and some other farm buildings.
It is not overly modern and so is a great place to get away from the 21st century stresses of the phone and the internet and enjoy its peaceful setting.
