Mas del Roure is an old farm with stunning views situated in the Mediterranean Pyrenees (France's sunniest region).
The farm is set in 150 acres of forest and fields overlooking the Mediterranean. There is ample space outside the gites for playing.
Each Gite has been renovated to rustic farm style and is fully equipped.
The farm and gites are only one minute from the nearest village, 10 minutes from the nearest supermarket and farmers' market, and only 50 minutes from the coast, Perpignan, golf and skiing.
In each gite there is a utility room complete with washing machine and iron.
This property is ideal for small or large families and groups wanting to holiday together.

A vacation gite with stunning views situated in the Mediterranean Pyrenees (France's sunniest region). We have a wonderful 500 year-old Oak on the property.
We have a small herd of organic beef cows - usually up the mountain from Spring onwards. The farm is set in 150 acres of forest and fields overlooking the Mediterranean. We also have three Pyrenean horses. There is ample space outside the gites for playing. Children are warmly welcomed.
Each Gite has been renovated to rustic farm style and is fully equipped. Renting this gite alongside our other would mean a total capacity for larger families of up to 12 people. More can be accommodated on request.
The farm and gites are only one minute from the nearest charming small village (Montferrer), 10 minutes from the nearest supermarket and farmers' market, and only 50 minutes from the coast, Perpignan, golf and skiing.
We are happy to show you local walks and sites of interest.

AIRPORTS The nearest airports in France are Perpignan (50 mins), Montpellier (1.5 hrs), Carcassonne (1.5 hrs) and Toulouse (2.5 hrs). The nearest airports in Spain are Girona (1.25 hrs) and Barcelona (2 hrs).

Seating for 6. There is also a dining terrace in front of the gite, with a fabulous view down to the coast. There is a high chair available for babies.
Entertainment:
Terrestrial TV, Radio, Board Games. Table tennis and tennis are available in the village - one mile away.
Outside:
Communal Pool, Terrace, Garden, BBQ, Parking, Garden Furniture. The communal pool is one mile away in the local village and is free.

Children Welcome, Not Suitable For Wheelchairs, Pets Allowed, Smoking Allowed.
Well-behaved dogs/pets are welcome. Smokers are requested to only smoke outside.
Local activities in and around Montferrer, Languedoc-Roussillon
THE REGION Montferrer is our very small, cozy village. With the following facilities, including a Roman church, town hall, bar, (excellent) restaurant and a small shop.
In addition it has a swimming pool (open in July and August), a pro tennis court, crazy golf and of course a court for petanque (boules). The community has 221 (1999) inhabitants of which 20-25 actually live in the village. The church, Saint-Marie, is a Romanesque church from the 12th century and is classified as a national historical monument. You also get wonderful views up the Vallespir Valley towards Prats de Mollo and over to Spain.
The community has the narrowest underground grottoes in the world, Gorges de la Fou. The deepest point is 205 metres, and it takes about two hours to walk the path of 1,5 km.
Amlie les Bains with its thermal baths is 20 minutes drive away. There you can treat yourself to four hours relaxing treatment for 45 Euro. It also has a Casino with a very good restaurant.
ACTIVITIES If you like horse riding, you will find riding centres in the region. Some of them are also arrange daily trips on horseback or longer trips with accommodation.
There is a famous professional 18-hole golf course, Domaine de Falgos about 30 mins drive from us.
We are less than 1 hour drive from the Mediterranean beaches and about 30 minutes from Spain.
Cyclists and hikers love this region with its numerous on and off road possibilities.
Follow the D115 past Cerét, through Amélie-les-Bains and Arles sur Tech. After which you'll see a sign for Montferrer (D54). 4 miles later you will then see a sign on your right for 'Mas del Roure'.

Rental Notes: Rental runs from Saturdays 5 PM to Saturdays 10 AM. But we are flexible on these arrival days and times.
Linen/towels will be supplied on request at a small extra cost (10 Euros for sheets and towels pp).
Electricity and gas included. Should heating be required - this would be an additional minimal cost (wood for the stoves).
35-50% deposit on booking. Balance 8 weeks prior to arrival. A breakages deposit will be taken on entry.
The nearest airports are Perpignan, Montpellier, Toulouse and Carcassonne. In Spain: Girona and Barcelona. Going by car on the motorway, Le Boulou is the nearest exit.
